HBO Gives a Third Season to EASTBOUND & DOWN and BORED TO DEATH

Though the entirety of each of their second seasons has yet to air on the cable network, HBO has already renewed both Eastbound & Down starring Danny McBride, and Bored to Death starring Jason Schwartzman, Ted Danson and Zach Galifianakis for a third season. Both half-hour comedy series each have their own charms (or in the case of Kenny Powers, a complete lack thereof), and continue to prove why HBO is the best place for bold comedy. Fortunately name guest stars like Don Johnson (Eastbound & Down) and Kevin Bacon (Bored to Death) in each of the series this season haven’t overshadowed the writing and have simply been icing in an already delicious cake. Here’s hoping the success continues in their next season.
