We’re less than a year away from the arrival of Neil Marshall‘s Hellboy reboot and today we’ve got an early glimpse of the movie’s marketing campaign. Stranger Things star David Harbour takes on the title role in Neil Marshall‘s film, which stars Milla Jovovich as Nimue the Blood Queen. That role was originally part of the title itself but the 2019 reboot has shifted back to a simpler, one-word title instead. So in order to remind folks that the Blood Queen is well and truly ready to destroy mankind in this movie, Jovovich shared a new banner poster that features the title hero and villain side by side.

The poster’s style is in line with the previous looks at the film, harkening back to the Dark Horse Comics series and writer-artist Mike Mignola‘s designs. It’s a stylish way to promote the film and equally effective as Harbour’s beefed-up version of the half-demon also known as Anung Un Rama. We can’t wait to see more, but for now, this poster will suffice. Also starring Ian McShane, and Daniel Dae KimHellboy is set to arrive January 11, 2019.

Take a look at the new Hellboy banner below, courtesy of Jovovich:

Here’s Harbour’s take on the material:

“There are things that I’m gonna do that are different. Hellboy is the same character from the comics and from what Ron did, there are certain things that are the same thing, but I do think that—I don’t know, there’s a different approach because I sort of highlight different things, I think, than Ron does. Ron sort of embraces this machismo in himself and in Hellboy, and I really like it and it’s super fun and it’s a super fun performance, but I think Hellboy has a certain psycho dynamic where occasionally he has to prove that he’s the lion, has to roar, and I think he struggles with his own masculinity. But I don’t think he needs that as much as maybe those other movies. I have a bit of a different take on his capability or his slickness. I sort of think that for me he’s a little less skilled at constructing that persona.”Here’s Harbour’s take on the character and how the reboot will approach his story:
