Rounding up some casting:

  • Aaron Paul and Juliette Lewis will star in Hellion, an indie drama about a fractured family living in a small Texas town.
  • Guy Ritchie cast Luca Calvani as the villain in his adaptation of the 1960s spy series The Man from U.N.C.L.E. alongside Henry Cavill, Armie Hammer, and Alicia Vikander.
  • Albert Brooks joins James Franco, Rachel McAdams, Jeff Bridges, Benicio Del Toro, and Paul Giamatti in the star-studded voice cast for The Little Prince.

Details after the break.

Writer/director Kat Candler premiered the short film Hellion at Sundance last year.  Here's the description: "All hell breaks loose when seven-year-old Petey is left with his hell-raising brothers.  But things go from bad to really, really bad when Dad gets home."  Deadline reports Candler will develop Hellion into a feature led by Lewis and Paul.  It was surprising to hear earlier this season that Jesse Pinkman is still 25 years old in Breaking Bad time, but Paul is 34, so I imagine he could play the really, really bad dad of a seven-year-old.

According to Deadline, Calvani's villain is "a wealthy Italian shipping heir who smuggled Nazi gold at end of WWII."  Here's the official synopsis:

Set against the backdrop of the early 1960s, at the height of the Cold War, The Man from U.N.C.L.E. centers on CIA agent Solo and KGB agent Kuryakin. Forced to put aside longstanding hostilities, the two team up on a joint mission to stop a mysterious international criminal organization, which is bent on destabilizing the fragile balance of power through the proliferation of nuclear weapons and technology. The duo’s only lead is the daughter of a vanished German scientist, who is the key to infiltrating the criminal organization, and they must race against time to find him and prevent a worldwide catastrophe.

Mark Osborne (Kung Fu Panda) is set to direct The Little Prince, an adaptation of Antoine de Saint-Exupery’s children's book.  The story centers on a pilot stranded in the Sahara desert---he meets a young prince who fell to Earth from a small asteroid and tells the pilot fantastical stories.  According to Deadline, Brooks will play one of the villains.
