Just one week after advance tickets (really advance) for James Cameron’s “Avatar” went on sale online, Fandango has announced that tickets for another highly anticipated cinematic event – first day screenings of Summit Entertainment’s “The Twilight Saga: New Moon” – are available to early-bird buyers. This is great news if you are a fan of Bella and Edward but were afraid that you might get shut out of those November 19th midnight screenings. But, before you get too excited, “New Moon” tickets are only being offered in a few select theatres nationwide. Find out where after the jump.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Carmike Cinemas – a Georgia-based theatre operator managing screens in “small and midsized markets” – will be offering advanced online ticket sales for the debut of “New Moon”.
The sales will cover midnight November 19th dates only and are only being offered at approximately 247 theatres nationwide. Places like Hot Springs, Arkansas and West Valley, Utah… although they also have locations in larger markets like Des Moines, Iowa.
You can check out if you live within driving distance of a Carmike theatre here. And if you prefer Fandango (which is what Regal Cinemas uses), you can sign up here to get an alert for they start selling “New Moon” tickets online.
To order tickets you will need to visit the “New Moon” page on Fandango and plug in your zip code. If, like me, you live nowhere near a Carmike site, you will be told that the movie “opens on November 20th” and that you’re shit out of luck. But if you are fortunate enough to live in Hot Springs, Arkansas you can consider that ticket as good as yours!
Good luck Twilighters and Vampire-speed!
