Showtime has released the first Homeland season 4 trailer, offering a glimpse at how the drama series plans to continue after the events of the season 3 finale.  Homeland has always been a quick-to-evolve show, running through about three seasons worth of material in its first 12 episodes.  Though the quality of the subsequent episodes failed to match that blissful first run, showrunners Howard Gordon and Alex Gansa have never been afraid to swing for the fences.  This debut trailer actually offers up a hefty amount of footage from season 4, promising that we’ll get to see Claire Danes’ Carrie Mathison working extensively in Pakistan this time around.  The addition of Corey Stoll and Life of Pi star Suraj Sharma to the cast is encouraging too, so hopefully the significant story shift makes for some interesting new character dynamics.
