Back when How I Met Your Mother wrapped up its epic nine season run, much of the show's loyal audience was put off (to put it mildly) when it turned out that the mother, Tracy, was actually dead. A few months ago creator Carter Bays revealed that an alternate, happier ending had been assembled in the editing room. Now you can give that version a whirl.
The ending, along with a ton of other extras, will be available on the boxed set “How I Met Your Mother: The Whole Story” when it arrives in stores on September 23rd.
