Special Comic-Con Poster for HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON 2 by Legendary Poster Artist Drew Struzan

     July 15, 2013

I know that I’ve been poking fun at various Comic-Con exclusive posters and the rampage to get them simply because they look neat and they’re free.  I haven’t even been that blown away by the Mondo posters, but that’s more sour grapes than anything else.  But today, How to Train Your Dragon 2 director Dean Deblois announced that there would be a limited edition Comic-Con poster for the film by legendary poster artist Drew Struzan.  Struzan also has a Mondo poster for The Dark Tower at Comic-Con, but that doesn’t do anything for me since I’ve never read those books.  I adore How to Train Your Dragon, I can’t wait for the sequel, and I will be the one shoving you to the ground as I try to get my hands on this bad boy.  There are currently no details on when and where at the Con the poster will be available, but DreamWorks Animation will be having its “Filmmaker Focus Panel” on Thursday at 11:45am in Room 6A.

Hit the jump to check out the poster.  The film features the voices of Jay Baruchel, Craig Ferguson, America Ferrera, Jonah Hill, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, T.J. Miller, Kristen Wiig, Kit Harrington, and Gerard ButlerHow to Train Your Dragon 2 opens in 3D on June 20, 2014.
