Back in August, we got our first look at Chloe Moretz (Let Me In) and Asa Butterfield (The Boy in the Striped Pajamas) in Martin Scorsese’s 3D family film Hugo Cabret.  Now the Facebook page for the site has provided us with a first look at costars Sacha Baron Cohen and Ben Kingsley.  As we previously reported, Cohen is playing a train station inspector while Kingsley plays famous silent film director and cinematic pioneer Georges Méliès.

Hit the jump to check out the images.  Hugo Cabret also stars Jude Law, Ray Winstone, and Christopher Lee.  It’s set to open on December 9, 2011.

Here’s the official synopsis for Hugo Cabret:

Hugo Cabret, Scorsese’s first film shot in 3D, tells the tale of an orphan boy living a secret life in the walls of a Paris train station.   When Hugo encounters a broken machine, an eccentric girl, and the cold, reserved man who runs the toy shop, he is caught up in a magical, mysterious adventure that could put all of his secrets in jeopardy.

  1. can’t wait for the trailer. and the news that Marty is taking his time shooting this in 3D, and not because of technical reasons, but of artistic reasons puts a big smile on my face. we may finally get some 3D shots that rivals that from Dial M for Murder.
