Lionsgate has released a new image from The Hunger Games: Catching Fire.  In the upcoming sequel, Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence) becomes a symbol of a brewing revolution in the districts, but is then drawn back into to fight to the death in the Quarter Quell Hunger Games.  In the new image, Katniss and fellow victor Peeta (Josh Hutcherson) give their defiant salute while Capitol stooge Effie Trinket (Elizabeth Banks) can only stand there uncomfortably.

Yahoo! Movies reports that the film's Comic-Con panel on Saturday will feature the debut of the new trailer.  Immediately after the trailer premieres at Comic-Con, it will go online at 1:35pm PST.  To me, that's just a huge "Screw you," to everyone who waited in line for the panel.  Everything shown at a panel should be exclusive, especially when Comic-Con is so adamant about people not recording the footage that's being shown.  Perhaps the Comic-Con audience for Hunger Games will also get some exclusive material, but it's still disrespectful to immediately bring the trailer online when you consider how much money people pay to go to the Con and how long they stand in line.

Perhaps those people will be comforted by the panel, which will include Lawrence, Hutcherson, Hemsworth, Kravitz, Malone, Wright, Willow Shields, and director Francis Lawrence.  Personally, I'm discomforted by awkward Q&A sessions, but that's just me and at least 3,000 people in Hall H.

Here's the official synopsis for The Hunger Games: Catching Fire:

THE HUNGER GAMES: CATCHING FIRE begins as Katniss Everdeen has returned home safe after winning the 74th Annual Hunger Games along with fellow tribute Peeta Mellark. Winning means that they must turn around and leave their family and close friends, embarking on a “Victor’s Tour” of the districts. Along the way Katniss senses that a rebellion is simmering, but the Capitol is still very much in control as President Snow prepares the 75th Annual Hunger Games (The Quarter Quell) – a competition that could change Panem forever.
