The Comic-Con panel for The Hunger Games: Catching Fire is poised to be one of the more popular events in Hall H this year, but I can still remember Comic-Con 2011 where the only Hunger Games presence was the handing out of some posters and pins at the Lionsgate booth.  Earlier today we showed you a new image from director Francis Lawrence’s sequel, and now character posters for a large portion of the cast have landed online.  These posters highlight Hunger Games victors young and old, as we see everyone donning their tight-fitting outfits for the Quarter Quell.

Hit the jump to take a look at the posters, and check back here this weekend for our full recap of the film’s Comic-Con panel as well as the new trailer.  The Hunger Games: Catching Fire opens on November 22nd.

Here’s the official synopsis for The Hunger Games: Catching Fire:

THE HUNGER GAMES: CATCHING FIRE begins as Katniss Everdeen has returned home safe after winning the 74th Annual Hunger Games along with fellow tribute Peeta Mellark. Winning means that they must turn around and leave their family and close friends, embarking on a “Victor’s Tour” of the districts. Along the way Katniss senses that a rebellion is simmering, but the Capitol is still very much in control as President Snow prepares the 75th Annual Hunger Games (The Quarter Quell) – a competition that could change Panem forever.

I love how people just love to hate on this franchise now that its popular… actually this has happened to anything that’s become extremely popular; Avatar, Titanic, The Avengers, Dark Knight Rises, Iron Man 3 and many more. If you don’t like it, then don’t talk about it. Move the fuck on and let other people have their fun.

    • Julio Navas

Please, don´t put The Hunger Games in the same group of Titanic, The Avengers, Dark Knight Rises and Iron Man 3. Hunger Games belongs next to shit like Twilight, The Host, Beautiful Cratures, and that type of solely commercial franchises

      • DjangoBro

And your an idiot if you think THG is at the same caliber as Twilight, seeing that only one movie has been released so far. Last time I checked THG is at a 85% rating on RT and same with the audience consensus. Why did you skip Avatar? Oh let me guess, you think that movie is a Pocahontas rip-off right? “Commercial franchises”? WHAT IS THE AVENGERS AND IRON MAN 3 APART OF? get out of here with that crap.

I never said The Hunger Games was a bad movie. I hate the fact of ¨the teams¨ (something which have in common with Twilight). Admit it, everyone (at least) knows that The Hungers Games is the version of a good Twilight movie. They are the same in every single way. The Imposible love story, the ¨Teams¨, the part 1,2,3,4,5,6, and the annoying and obsessed fanbase.

      • DjangoBro

If you have read any of the books you would know that it does not focus on the love story aspect, it’s so much more than that. Its people that never read the books who do the team shit because they do not know what actually happens (like yourself) Only the third book is split into two parts, so they could elaborate more without it feeling crammed and rushed (Harry Potter did the same thing). A lot happens in that book. It’s also a chance for Suzanne Collins to add more closure. You have annoying and obsessed fan-bases everywhere. Star Wars is a huge example.

      • Julio Navas

And well, i certainly haven´t seen sequels for Avatar released year after year. Cameron doesnt give a shit about making the box office explote.

      • DjangoBro

That’s because James Cameron is in the middle of writing the 2nd and 3rd. Also, Avatar is not an adaptation of a book series. And it’s James Cameron, he can do whatever the fuck he wants.

      • Julio Navas

What, do you think i don´t know that? Unlike people involved with the Hunger Games Franchise, Cameron is not on the rush of making the Avatar sequels to earn his decade payday.

He doesn’t need to because studios can’t tell him nothing! If he was a fresh director, that would have been totally different! You do realize that Harry Potter was released yearly as well right? Please just stop.

They did the first book no justice because they made it into a Twilight Franchise. They made it about the impossible love story and not about the things that surround the kids. Why the games were necessary and what katniss actually goes through. It’s all very mental and none of that was explored. Plus you don’t hate the capital in the movie…they just have Snow being all demanding… they didn’t go into the ruthlessness in order to have these children die and the lengths they went to, to make that happen…ergo the mutant dogs. This series is shit. terrible acting – I am a fan of a lot of the side actors and jennifer- but it was bad. The effects were shotty. The story was dumbed down. I hate people like you taht just because they read the books the movies are good cause YOU GET THE BACKGROUND. I read the books and the movies did nothing for incoming crowds.

      • DjangoBro

I’m sorry, I believe we have seen two different movies. But its funny you would say that, when the author helped wrote the first movie… so if its anyone who gets the story more it’s the author right? lol The series is shit? It’s not even done… lool What? I’m so confused.

      • dantae

So you’re saying because the author helped writing the movie, there can be nothing wrong with it? Please, writing books is totally different from writing movies. Besides, the movie was made by the director, the producers, and different writers, not just the original author, so obviously, she didn’t have much power over it.

      • DjangoBro

Umm… I didn’t say that lol She was indeed in part of the script writing with Gary Ross though. Obviously I know that books and movies are two different mediums. She was there to help Gary Ross figure out what would work on the screen and what would not. Its up to you to believe that its bad, but unfortunately you would be apart of the minority. Go watch behind the scenes and you will find out why they did what they did.

Woah Djangobro, no need to go cutting your wrists over some smack talk. It’s gonna happen, take a chill pill because if you like it than that’s all the defense you need. No reason to expel energy over an Internet debate.

      • DjangoBro

Ahh it gets the best of us, I’m very ashamed that I took part in this lmao
