A good deal of our time on the Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 2 Comic-Con press line was spent playing high/low, but we also got to squeeze in a few questions regarding what’s to come for certain characters in the final film. Peeta (Josh Hutcherson) was in the Capitol’s clutches for most of Mockingjay - Part 1 and even though the rebel soldiers did manage to bring him back to District 13 towards the end of the film, he isn’t in the clear yet because his body was pumped full of tracker jacker venom. Then there’s Katniss’ (Jennifer Lawrence) little sister, Prim (Willow Shields). The character hasn’t had the opportunity to do all that much in the first three films, but now that Panem is in a full scale war, it’s finally time for Prim to step up and support the cause by putting her nursing and healing skills to use.

Check out what Hutcherson had to say about playing “hijacked,” what Shields told us about keeping viewers surprised even if they’ve read the books, and hear what producer Nina Jacobson said about the possibility of continuing the series after Mockingjay - Part 2 in the video interview below.

Here’s the official synopsis for The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2:

With the nation of Panem in a full scale war, Katniss confronts President Snow (Donald Sutherland) in the final showdown. Teamed with a group of her closest friends – including Gale (Liam Hemsworth), Finnick (Sam Claflin), and Peeta (Josh Hutcherson) – Katniss goes off on a mission with the unit from District 13 as they risk their lives to stage an assassination attempt on President Snow who has become increasingly obsessed with destroying her.  The mortal traps, enemies, and moral choices that await Katniss will challenge her more than any arena she faced in The Hunger Games.
