I hope you’ve got your tickets for The Hunger Games because they’re disappearing quickly. Making the tickets available a month in advance seems like a great move on the part of Lionsgate, considering The Hunger Games pre-sale just beat the previous Fandango record holder for the first day of sales, The Twilight Saga: Eclipse. The buzz around the project is really starting to rev up and we’ve got some new TV spots and images to show you after the jump.

The Hunger Games, starring Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth and directed by Gary Ross opens March 23rd. Hit the jump to check out the new looks.

For those of you who remain unfamiliar with the plot of The Hunger Games, here’s the official synopsis:

Every year in the ruins of what was once North America, the evil Capitol of the nation of Panem forces each of its twelve districts to send a teenage boy and girl to compete in the Hunger Games. A twisted punishment for a past uprising and an ongoing government intimidation tactic, The Hunger Games are a nationally televised event in which “Tributes” must fight with one another until one survivor remains. Pitted against highly-trained Tributes who have prepared for these Games their entire lives, Katniss is forced to rely upon her sharp instincts as well as the mentorship of drunken former victor Haymitch Abernathy. If she’s ever to return home to District 12, Katniss must make impossible choices in the arena that weigh survival against humanity and life against love. THE HUNGER GAMES is directed by Gary Ross, and produced by Nina Jacobson’s Color Force in tandem with producer Jon Kilik. Suzanne Collins’ best-selling novel, the first in a trilogy published by Scholastic that has over 16 million copies in print in the United States alone, has developed a massive global following.

Here are two recent TV spots for The Hunger Games, “Tribute” and “Team.” The first highlights the relationship between Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence) and her sister, Primrose (Willow Shields). The second provides a look at the training for the games.

Here’s a new look at Lenny Kravitz as Cinna, the District 12 tributes’ personal stylist. Click here to check out his character profile on Capitol Couture:

Why do you ask…looking for a date? You’re going about it the wrong way.

I realize that you’re probably getting a lot of this material direct from the PR firm, but the relentless shilling for this movie on this website is bordering on the absurd. Is there any journalistic credibility left here at Collider worth talking about?

Seriously, can you at least try to post a story that doesn’t sound like a paid endorsement for this? Thanks.

How are they going to show kids getting killed?
Also, in the book the age ranges was all f$#ked up. It had pre-pubescent 12 year-olds fighting 18 year-olds. Imagine adult males hunting down a 12 year-old girls. Man, that’s sick.

Just finished reading the book last night good read, fast paced and disturbing. I’m interested on how they will show the graphic nature of the novel… there are several really skin crawling scenes that I hope they man manage to get into the film. Katniss has a hallucination which I really hope they keep in the final cut, as well as some graphic gore relating to injuries.
The book is actually a pretty interesting look into global/national political/entertainment issues that we are dealing with today. I’ll be seeing this in March, for sure.
