Exclusive: Watch a Behind-the-Scenes Look at the Season 2 Finale of HUSBANDS

     September 19, 2012

We here at Collider are happy to debut a behind-the-scenes featurette for the second season finale of the online sitcom Husbands.  Written and created by Brad Bell and Jane Espenson, the series stars Bell and Sean Hemeon (Criminal Minds) as a tabloid darling and recently outed LA Dodger who spark a media firestorm when they get drunk-married in Las Vegas.  The marriage equality-geared series has broken barriers by becoming the first online series presented by the esteemed Paley Center television institute, and ushers in what is hopefully a more welcoming and inclusive era of series TV.  Ira Glass remarked of Husbands, “You’re peeking at a future of TV, of America.”

The show has been host to a multitude of guest stars like Joss Whedon, Jon Cryer, Felicia Day, Tricia Helfer, John Hodgman and more, and this featurette goes behind the scenes of the show’s season two finale and features interviews with Husbands‘ creators and stars.  Hit the jump to check it out.

You can watch the first season right here, and click over to lovehusbands.com to watch season 2.

Here’s the synopsis for Husbands:

Waking up drunk-married in Vegas used to be an adventure reserved for one man and one woman; however, thanks to a new federal equality amendment, tabloid darling Cheeks and LA Dodgers player, Brady Kelly, find themselves hungover and wed. Unwilling to undermine the hard-fought battle with a public quickie divorce, these two decide to make a go of it–despite their short courtship of just six weeks. Dating was going okay, but how will it work out now that they’re HUSBANDS?

I love the behind the scenes episodes almost as much as the series! Such chemistry in this cast and crew! Thanks for hosting this Collider. Also, “a little scandal is what keeps you on top” needs to be taken to heart by some people needing promo!

What a wonderful way to close out Season 2 – I loved that you allowed the viewers into the inner workings and behind the scenes of the making of “Husbands”. It makes me enjoy the show all the more because I’m more fully informed about the whole process of creating it. Thank you to TeamHusbands for the show, for Cheeks, Brady and Haley – and hugs to all the new cast members who joined in S2.

I adore the BTS footage. It’s the little things, like seeing Cheeks tape lines on the wall off camera. And hearing all about the process. Start to finish. I adore this series and the heart of everyone involved. The way the fans are thought of and the whole process. I’m in love. Thank you Team Husbands!!

“Marriage equality”, don’t make me laugh, marriage has been the EXCLUSIVE domain of one man and one woman for the last five thousand years, and every time voters have went to the polls on this issue, it’s been voted against… even in liberal California, for goodness’ sakes! Leftist secularist Hollyweird may be pushing a radical and extremist agenda onscreen, but it’s the people that have the last say on this, and they have overwhelmingly said “NO!”, get the message Dems…

^ It’s just going to get worse as time goes on. Satan is going to contiunue to deceive people. The homosexual agenda will continue to be shoved down our throats (any jokes about that are lame). Man has it in him to twist and pervert anything normal. Don’t kid yourself, homosexuality is disgusting.
