Rush was one of Ron Howard‘s best films in decades, and hopefully this is the beginning of career resurgence when it comes to quality.  His next film, In the Heart of the Sea, certainly has the potential with its incredible true story.  In 1819, the whaling ship Essex was rammed by an angry sperm whale in the South Pacific.  The surviving crew drifted for 90 days in three tiny whaleboats and encountered disease, hunger, and eventually cannibalism.  Howard has released a couple set photos of the production working on the last day of their interior tank work.

this story is intense…tragic at almost every turn, the more so for being real. Here’s to Ron howard and crew doing it justice

Can’t wait to see the reunion of Howard and Hemsworth again. Rush was my favorite film of the year so far (haven’t seen Captain Phillips still, but yes I liked it more than Gravity). The rest of the cast is great to…and this story is absolutely terrifying.

    Ron Howard is back!!!

Really excited for this! Cillian Murphy and Ben Whishaw are some of the best actors alive. This looks really good.

This looks terrific. And I love how filmmakers are posting their own behind-the-scenes pix. Might as well post pictures of good quality, since set photos will leak out anyway.
