While Joss Whedon is currently directing the blockbuster Avengers: Age of Ultron, he hasn't forgotten about indie fare.  His previous film was the microbudget adaptation of Much Ado about Nothing, and he also wrote the upcoming drama In Your Eyes.  Directed by Brin Hill, In Your Eyes is "about two seemingly polar opposites who are deeply connected in ways neither could have ever imagined."  The opening scene has gone online, and if it's focused on the younger versions of the two "polar opposities", then this scene reveals their intriguing, supernatural connection.  Even though there is a supernatural twist, I almost got a Snow Angels vibe when it comes to an idyllic school environment being disrupted by a distant tragedy.  I'm definitely curious to check out more of this film.

Hit the jump to check out the In Your Eyes opening scene.  The film stars Zoe Kazan (Ruby Sparks), Michael Stahl-David (Cloverfield), Mark Feuerstein (Growing Pains), and Abigail Spencer (Rectify).  In Your Eyes premieres this weekend at the Tribeca Film Festival.

Here's the synopsis for In Your Eyes:

Stahl-David stars as Dylan, a boyish-looking man who served time in jail for robbery when he refused to rat on his accomplices. Now, he is living in a trailer in New Mexico. Kazan stars as Rebecca, an attractive but skinny and slightly awkward woman, who is married to an older doctor and living in Connecticut. The two have a powerful connection, and they can hear and see each other, even though they have never met.
