Sometimes, when you're marketing one of Roland Emmerich's big-budget, world-destroying, disaster pictures like Independence Day: Resurgence, you just have to take a step back from all the insane action and special effects spectacle and let your veteran actors and major characters do the work. With that in mind, Jeff Goldblum and the Earth Space Defense leader David Levinson step up to the plate to do a bit of bizarro promotional work for the summer sequel. It seems that there's a conspiracy theory floating around out there suggesting that Levinson is actually Goldblum, and vice versa. The duo addresses this absurd conclusion in a new video.
