Spoiler alert for anyone who hasn't seen the original Independence Day; Dr. Brackish Okun is attacked and killed by an alien in Area 51 - or so we thought until news broke that Brent Spiner was reprising the role in Independence Day: Resurgence. Last year I got the chance to visit the Albuquerque, New Mexico set of the sequel and sit down with Spiner to discuss what happened and why Dr. Okun is still around.

On top of that, Vivica A. Fox also offered an update on what Jasmine's up to and paid her respects to her high-flying, fireball-dodging dog Boomer. You can catch all of that and Spiner and Fox's advice for surviving an alien invasion in the video interview below. Independence Day: Resurgence is due in theaters on June 24th. (Also, in case you're interested in checking it out, the book Spiner refers to is called Silent Zone.)
