For our final Toy Fair image article, we’re doing a huge roundup of NECA toy images. While they’re making figures/toys for all the regular movies and TV shows you’d expect, the highlight of NECA’s 2013 lineup is the 60′s Batman featuring Adam West! The reason it’s taken so long to get an Adam West Batman is lawyers. From what I’ve been told, Warner Bros. owns Batman, while 20th Century Fox owns the show. For years the two companies have been trying to work out an agreement to release DVDs/Blu-rays and new merchandise with little success. However, late last year, the two companies finally worked out a deal and 2013 should see a lot of new toys and hopefully a home video release. Which is great news for the fans.
In addition to checking out the first 60′s Batman toy in quite some time, you can also see new toys for Aliens, A Christmas Story, Captain America, Michael Keaton’s Batman, Carrie, Gremlins, E.T., Harry Potter, Hulk, Iron Man, Pacific Rim, Predator, Prometheus, Scarface, Rambo, The Hobbit, The Hunger Games, Thor, and a lot more.

If you’re a toy collector, you’ve likely had a great past few days. That’s because every February at Toy Fair in NYC, all the toy manufactures show off tons of upcoming toys and many are being revealed for the first time. Over the past 24 hours we’ve posted a ton of them broken down by manufacturer, and we’re not close to being done. However, due to how many we’ve yet to post, I’m going to take a group approach to this article.
As you can see after the jump, we’ve got over 100 pictures from the convention floor and you can check out some of the new toys for Iron Man (and Iron Man 3), The Walking Dead, Batman, The Dark Knight, Star Wars, DC Justice, Real Steel, Marvel Selects, Resident Evil, Arkham City, Star Trek, Superman, Thor, Wonder Woman, Tom Cruise from Mission Impossible, and much more.

Earlier today, Hasbro previewed a number of toys they’ll be premiering at Toy Fair 2013 tomorrow. While most of the presentation showcased toys that will be released in the next few months like Iron Man 3 and Star Wars, they did tease something that will be on store shelves later this year: Thor: The Dark World. Even though the movie doesn’t get released until November, Hasbro revealed upcoming versions of Thor, Loki and the Dark Elves. As you can see after the jump, on display were the new 3.75″ inch figures, a new “Titan Hero Series” line, and a Thunder Strike Thor. Check out the images and then let me know what you think.

It’s tough making one cool superhero poster. But making ten of them, each one is as cool as the last, that’s almost impossible. But that’s what Marko Manev has managed to do with his new black and white superhero noir posters featuring Batman, Hulk, Captain America, Spider-Man, Silver Surfer, Thor, Iron Man, Superman, Dr. Manhattan, and Wolverine. As you’ll see after the jump, every poster captures an iconic scene for the superhero featured. And while all of them are extremely well done, I think the Silver Surfer is my favorite. Let me know which is your favorite in the comment section.

We’ve got a couple of superhero images for you this morning. First up, Empire has released a hi-res version of the previously released image of the sharp-dressed, sharp-clawed Logan (Hugh Jackman) from The Wolverine. There’s also an official set photo of director Alan Taylor and Chris Hemsworth on the set of Thor: The Dark World. I like to imagine that Taylor is stoned out of his mind in this image, and marveling at the size of his hand.
Hit the jump to check out the images. The Wolverine opens in 3D on July 26th. Thor: The Dark World opens in 3D on November 8th.

Iron Man 3 has become so exclusive that even Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) isn’t allowed in. The “No Avengers Allowed” production directed by Shane Black (Kiss Kiss Bang Bang) is locked down as a Tony Stark-centric experience after the fallout of the events in The Avengers. While Robert Downey Jr. won’t have to share any screen time with his heroic teammates this time around, you can be sure to expect some sort of end credits tag linking it to Thor 2, aka Thor: The Dark World. Surprisingly, Jackson may not appear in that film either, but will next play Fury in Captain America 2, aka Captain America: The Winter Soldier. Hit the jump to see what Jackson had to say.

Although Thor has been out since the summer of 2011 and all of the Blu-ray extras were thought to be exhausted, there appears to be a new never-before-seen deleted scene from the end of the film. Included on the Marvel Cinematic Universe box set, the scene features Dr. Erik Selvig (Stellan Skarsgard) running his research team while Jane Foster (Natalie Portman) and Darcy (Kat Dennings) send a skyward beacon to help Thor (Chris Hemsworth) find his way back to Earth.

Production is currently underway in London on Marvel’s sequel Thor: The Dark World, and we’ve been keeping tabs on the pic with plenty of set photos and videos. We still don’t know much plot-wise about the follow-up, but Game of Thrones helmer Alan Taylor is behind the director’s chair this time around and Christopher Eccleston is onboard as the principal villain Malekith the Accursed.
Hemsworth recently took a break from shooting to talk a bit about how The Dark World differs from the first film and how Natalie Portman’s Jane Foster factors into the plot. Moreover, he also offered his thoughts on Steven Spielberg’s sci-fi pic Robopocalypse, which he films next year. Hit the jump to see what he had to say.

I try and heed the wise words of Conan O’Brien and resist the urge to be cynical. I really do. But while digging through our The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2 coverage in anticipation of this week’s post I stumbled across this poster for the film and all of my best laid plans went to waste. There is just no excuse for a franchise of its stature to have a poster that terrible. I’m far from an expert in graphic design, but mercy…I re-read Adam’s original post several times hoping to find the sentence where he points out that the poster was the Grand Prize winner of Summit’s “Design the Worst Damn Movie Poster Possible” contest. Sadly, there was no mention of such a contest. This was real and it made my heart hurt.
All cynicism aside, in this week’s Top 5, The Twilight Saga comes to a merciful end with interviews and things of the like, Damon Lindelof‘s draft of the Prometheus script becomes available for your reading pleasure, news regarding the debuts of Star Trek Into Darkness‘ first trailer and first 9 minutes of the film surfaces, a handful of images and a video from the set of Thor: The Dark World make their way onto the Interwebs, and believe it or not, more news regarding Star Wars: Episode VII gets discussed. I trust you know where to find a brief recap and link to each.

Just the other day we got a glimpse of Christopher Eccleston as the villain Malekith on the set of Marvel’s sequel Thor: The Dark World alongside his Dark Elf brethren, and today more photos and video from the set have surfaced. Today’s batch could be considered spoilery, as they reveal Chris Hemsworth’s Thor and that dastardly Malekith duking it out on location in London. Really nothing is revealed other than the fact that they’re fighting, but it’s clear that Eccleston is wearing motion-capture dots on his face so I’m interested to see what the final design for Malekith will look like after the visual effects are completed.
Hit the jump to check out the images and video. Directed by Alan Taylor, the film also stars Natalie Portman, Stellan Skarsgård, Idris Elba, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Kat Dennings, Ray Stevenson, Zachary Levi, Tadanobu Asano, Jaimie Alexander, Rene Russo, and Anthony Hopkins. Thor: The Dark World opens in 3D on November 8, 2013.
