Summit Entertainment has released a new Insurgent trailer for the upcoming Divergent sequel, directed by Red helmer Robert Schwentke. Actress Shailene Woodley returns for the follow-up in which Tris, Four (Theo James), and other companions from the first film find themselves on the run from a vengeful Kate Winslet as they continue to learn more secrets about their world’s past. This latest trailer continues to market Insurgent as a thriller, and (at least in the book) that’s not an entirely false angle. I still haven’t seen anything that makes me feel like I need to see this movie, but I’m curious to see how the film handles the mythology of the books and I like Woodley quite a bit. Moreover, since this is Movie 2 of a planned 4-film franchise, we’re probably in this thing for the long-haul unless Insurgent somehow bombs spectacularly.

The film also stars Theo James, Ansel Elgort, Naomi Watts, Octavia Spencer, Jai Courtney, Miles Teller, Zoe Kravitz, Mekhi Phifer, Suki Waterhouse, Daniel Dae Kim, Maggie Q, Ray Stevenson, Keiynan Lonsdale, and Johnny Weston. The Divergent Series: Insurgent opens in theaters on March 20th.
