New Trailer for Christopher Nolan’s INTERSTELLAR Starring Matthew McConaughey

Paramount Pictures has released a new Interstellar trailer for director Christopher Nolan’s upcoming sci-fi drama.  The film stars Matthew McConaughey and revolves around a group of explorers who make use of a newly discovered wormhole “to surpass the limitations on human space travel and conquer the vast distances involved in an interstellar voyage.”  Even though I know most of the visual effects are still in development, I’m surprised at how much focus was on the emotional side of the film.  Like production designer Nathan Crawley said, this is really a father-daughter story, and I like the emphasis on the emotion.  But there’s also a darkness in here that the characters aren’t just leaving Earth for the sake of exploration; they’re leaving Earth because it’s a lost cause.

Hit the jump to watch the new Interstellar trailer.  The film also stars Anne HathawayJessica ChastainCasey AffleckMichael Caine, David OyelowoWes BentleyJohn LithgowEllen BurstynTopher GraceDavid GyasiMackenzie FoyBill IrwinTimothée Chalamet, and Matt Damon.  Interstellar opens November 7th.

A trailer? What was this rubbish you just typed?

      • stfu

His opinion. not everyone has to be a SHEEP like you. and you and all of the other “in nolan we trust” FAKES dont actually care about this…you just jump on the hype wagon…you even lie to yourselves in saying yer excited for this when yer really just riding the trend created by the Joker hype in 2008….none of you were fans of Nolan before…yer not actually into what he does…you are all SHEEP BARN YARD ANIMALS BA-A-A-A-A-A-A-A

      • awer

watch out we got a hipster over here.

      • Lulz

DERRRR, DURRP, DERRR. Anyone who has a different opinion than someone=hipster.

      • Chris Nolan Super Fraud

Come all ye haters, joyful and triumphant. It was too easy. Nolan beat himself. LOL! Even the most faithful Nolanites are lying to themselves when they say that this trailer is anything but the most boring shite ever. TWO MINUTES into the trailer and it’s the most boring movie of the year already. Now that he doesn’t have Batman to piss on, Nolan don’t have nothin to offer general audiences. This will be the film that finally, irrevocably exposed Nolan as the hack-fraud, liar-scumbag loser that he is. Only the most obstinate Nolanites will pretend it’s a deep film because they took their over-hyping of Nolan too far and they know it. They’ve double down on their stupidity and they are too far in the hole to finally eat crow and admit Nolan lost his edge.
Once this explodes on the launch pad everyone will re-evaluate Rises and those with the intelligence and will power to resist the hype campaign WB launched will be heralded as heros — people of integrity who called bull shit when they saw it.
I leave these boards forever, triumphant. The myth of Nolan the great filmmaker lies in ashes. Victory has defeated him.

      • Chris Nolan Super Fraud

Here’s a history lesson: in 2012 a massive hype machine, sponsored by Warner Bros, proclaimed that The Dark Knight Rises was a legitimately important film. The marketing campaign was so great that retards like Strong Enough and Tarek blindly proclaimed it genius despite the fact any objective viewer knew it was terrible. They bought into the hype so bad they proclaimed Nolan a genius and anyone who thought he was mediocre a troll. Fast forward to Nolan’s next release and even those two idiots can’t muster up the excitement to pretend the interstellar trailer is anything less than the most boring shit they’ve ever seen. The moral of the story: fanboy pussies don’t understand what makes good cinema and are too cowardly to admit that they are idiots. Apologize boys. You know I was right this whole time and you were wrong.

      • Wilhelmet

        You really need help.

      • Frank

You should consider the possibility of getting help. It’s nothing to be ashamed of. I think more people need therapists than care to admit – I’m one of them lol. I think there comes a time where you have to ask yourself, is getting on a message board and yelling at people how I want to live? There’s so much out there other than this, or Nolan’s films, or people that like him. Personally I’m confused by Nolan. I want to like him more and do enjoy his work overall but always end up finding a verbosity to his movies that could probably be fixed in the editing room. But no one around him is going to say that obviously. So I agree with you in many respects. It’s completely okay to dislike or like something obviously, but there’s something almost pathological in your posts. Remember it’s *just* a movie.

        Constipated this morning?

  • Angel of Death

Hmm…not to be a naysayer, but it really had no “wow”-factor to it. It just seemed sort of ordinary.

When the trailers for Inception came out, THOSE were amazing! Mysterious, but intriguing. It really captured the audience by showing us something new.

This just sort of looked like a mix of that Matt Damon movie, Promised Land, and Gravity.

I’m still excited for the movie, just because I think Nolan excels at original ideas. But it just wasn’t a very exciting trailer.

    • Matthew Whalen

Aren’t you damn sick of trailers that spoil everything? Get a grip, nolan plays trailers close to the chest…

      • Angel of Death

Actually I don’t like trailers that spoil everything. That was my point with Inception. We had no idea what the movie was about, but the trailers were so visually arresting and different that it instantaneously pulled me in. This…was honestly kind of bland.

    • Sienna

I totally agree. I’m the biggest Nolan fan, but I just wasn’t excited by this trailer. I will still see this opening weekend, but perhaps he’s just going for something different this time around.

  • computerbenefit

So Casey Affleck plays the grown up son and Jessica Chastain plays the grown up daughter, calling it now.

    • adu

Good call I think :)…we’re in for an interesting ride I feel…and I’m sure we’re gonna get one of those spinning top kinda endings.

      • pickaname

I feel like this is gonna be more of a Star Wars kind of film than an inception one. A lot of focus on emotion and human stories. Something Nolan’s been criticized for a lot in the past for not having in his movies.

    • James VDB

She’s wearing McConaughey’s jacket. So you’re probably right.

  • tmance

doesnt look very good, was hoping for a little more sci fi fun. this seems its taking a more grounded realistic approach which is not what i was hoping, atleast not from this film.

    • http://mattedscreen.blogspot.com/ TheMattedScreen

when has Nolan ever made a “fun” movie?

      • tmance

more or less, i was hoping he’d have some more fun, as in an adventure…or what Danny Boyles “sunshine” should have been or a jules verne type narrative… that being said, i’ve enjoyed every other film he’s made, its just not what i was hoping it’d be in tone.

      • http://mattedscreen.blogspot.com/ TheMattedScreen

it may yet be that – but the man loves his heavy tone – Can’t even imagine at this point what a Nolan comedy would look like

      • tmance

im still having my fingers crossed he directs the new Tyler Perry’s aunt Madea film.

      • http://mattedscreen.blogspot.com/ TheMattedScreen

lol! that would be amazing, but I don’t think Michael Caine has that kind of range

      • tmance

haha.. the sadest part is..that wouldn’t even be his lowest point.. i think jaws 4 would have that beat

    • Jason Reichow

Renowned theoretical physicist Kip Thorne was the one who originally came up with the idea for this movie in the first place, it was always going to have a grounded realistic approach.

      • tmance

the most accurate of science fiction theories can be fantastical..ive studied theoretical physics 9 years now, nothings grounded about it in my opinion. im merely stating i would have liked if he tried to go in another direction.

      • tmance

not liking the tone is different from wanting more from the trailer, come on now. don’t just b.s

    • Vindicated By History

This was the moment of validation people who were intelligent enough to see Rises for the piece of shit it was have been waiting for. Now even Nolanites can’t pretend his new film will be good. It sucks being intelligent enough to call bullshit immediately while others follow the herd and cast stones at you. Now it’s inarguable Nolan isn’t an artist. Sorry everyone but someone who offered an intelligent opinion for years that was dismissed as a troll can’t help but feel vindicated now. Even though come November people will righteously turn on Nolan, those who stood out and called bullshit right away must now stand up and be recognized. Realize I’m smarter than y’all and called bullshit 2 years ago. You’re welcome. [cries tears of joy]

  • Dmula

Nice introduction to the film without giving away to much

  • mattinacan

from time to time about 90% of the rest of filmmakers working today have to hang their heads in shame and realize the crap they put out will just never be as good as what the best of the best can do. this is one of those moments. i mean seriously Michael Bay must see this kind of stuff and think, after all my dollars are gone i’ll have never left anything worthwhile to the film industry.

    • BigJimSlade

But it literally looked like EXACTLY like a Michael Bay trailer.

Without robots but with plenty clumsy, ham-handed and heartless Nolan exposition.

If Nolan is remembered years from now, it will be for the South Park parody of Inception.

      • Johnson

you ARE determined to post crap on every post, aren’t you; guess you have nothing better to do

      • MJ

This is just such utter nonsense, that I don’t feel compelled to waste any of your time or mine responding.

  • efwef

    unimpressive

  • Clay

    Fantastic trailer.

  • Joseph M

Here we go. I like Nolan’s work and I think Interstellar has great potential, but I’m seeing a scary amount of online comments about him being the new Kubrick. Be clear, 3 Batman films and a couple of decent thrillers don’t equate to Dr. Strangelove, 2001: A Space Odyssey, A Clockwork Orange, The Shining etc. It’s why the more obsessive Nolanites get a hard time online.

    • Ted

dont equate yet* i am no movie critic but Inception is one of those films that will get more appreciation with time, and hopefully become a classic in 20-30 years.

    • tmance

well.. lets be honest, he’s shown range, and has created some unique films, i would say he has too much commercial appeal to create a truly unique and polarizing film. but theres time!

    • BigJimSlade

Nolan is literally the polar opposite of Stanley Kubrick.

I think Nolan compares to Michael Bay and Tony Scott very, very well (but Nolan lacks the heart and sense of humor). Style over substance, terrible screenplays, cutout characters and plot “twists” that hit you right over the head. The main difference is Scott and Bay’s movies (sadly) will probably stand the test of time over Nolan’s output.

      • lordjim

style over substance?what style?contemporary directors who have style are michael mann and david fincher.nolan does not so dumb mainstream movies, so he ist truly not as bad as michael bay, and besides “true romance”he is better than tony scott, but even tony scott had more (although questionable) style.nolan does not have style and he only has substance when he´s compared to other blockbuster directors.you are completely right that he is the polar opposite of stanley kubrick.

Stunning, a great tease..cant wait for Nov. Quick everyone Youtube the V for Vendetta soundtrack!!! LOLROLFCOPTERLMAO

  • JBug

What I love and respect about trailers for Nolan movies is that they do just enough to get you into the theater without letting you experience the movie itself (like most movie trailers are guilty of). This way, you experience everything in the 2-3 hours you sit in the movie instead over the 4 months span prior the release.

  • Greg Mauer

It is a teaser! What do people want? The whole movie’s best scenes and when you go and see the movie you know everything already? This will be intelligent! And may change peoples minds about what really is important. I can’t wait!

  • Christopher Stevens

I hope it’s good but was pretty underwhelmed by the trailer. I love the scene where they are in the boardroom that conveniently opens up to the where the Spaceship is! So we also learn that he is a pilot. . . .and an engineer . . . . and a farmer. Triple threat. Also convenient that the rocket appears to take off about 3 miles from where his house is?

  • John Aguiar

I was less than impressed, compared to other Nolan trailers. And yet, it’s Nolan FOR PETE’S SAKE! So he will deliver as usual. And I was stunned with the space visuals

  • the king of comedy

Many people criticize directors such as Nolan and J.J. Abrams but I have to give them credit, they really try not to spoil the movie to audiences, and their trailers are intriguing without giving too much away.

    • mattinacan

the difference is that Nolan’s secrets blow everyone away, JJ’s just disappoint.

      • the king of comedy

Well I think Nolan is also capable of dissapointing, wich he did with The Dark Knight Rises, Star Trek into Darkness was a great movie, but yeah… I`m not a big fan ot the Khan reveal either

      • BigJimSlade

        “Nolan’s secrets blow everyone away”

When has a “Nolan secret” actually blown people away in his entire career of film making? Even M. Night Shamalama has a better record of mind-blowing “secrets” in movies. Not like JJ is the master of twists, of course…

      • awer

you’re probably one of those people who say “I knew that was going to happen” after a movie when you had no idea what the hell is going on.

  • http://www.collider.com/ DNAsplitter

Looks great. And another great looking collaboration with Nolan and My Cocain (that’s how I hear it with his Brittish accent). Glad that McConaughey has stepped up his game again as he really was off to a great start when his career begin (Dazed and Confused, Contact, A Time to Kill, Amistad, Frailty) but some where along the lines fell into the lazy rom-coms (in between The Wedding Planner and How to Lose a Guy in 10 days I think it just dawned on him to accept easy roles with large pay checks that required his typical arrogance and a shirtless scene.) I’m glad he’s back to his A game. Guy has such talent that I really thought he was squandering it by picking the lowest common denominator.

    • lordjim

he was truly great in “Killer Joe”, “Mud” and “True Detective”.nolan is the lowest common denominator.

  • bidi

i think the people who found this underwhelming were expecting some set pieces, like the spinning hallway from Inception or the Bat flying over the Gotham skyline like TDKR. but this is not an action movie, and that is very clear now. it will probably have some moments, but this is just a drama that happens to have a sci-fi slant

  • cineast4

Looks as great as can be expected, hopefully the more philosophical tone carried in the promotional material so far is present in the film. Would be great to return to sci-fi like 2001, Close Encounters, Contact etc.

  • Banskie

This trailer is a letdown. I was expecting cerebral instead of sentimental. I was really hoping for Nolan to deliver a quintessential Kubrickian science fiction movie. Oh well, the trailer only seems to explore probably just the half of the story. I am still hopeful to get my mind blown come November.

    • BigJimSlade

Jesus… Nolan doesn’t have the talent of a Kubrick fingernail clipping. It’s going to be a Chris Nolan commercial sci-fi movie. Nothing more, nothing less.

      • Johnson

go home. you are not interesting.

      • MJ

LOL. Keep working through that second six pack. You are simultaneously embarrassing yourself and cracking us all up.

      • Lulz at MJ

Nolan is not as good as Kubrick, bro. Deal with it. Nobody gives a shit about any Nolan films a year after they are released. All of Kubricks have been discussed for decades. The fact you feel compelled to hate over a decade after his final film was released shows that he’s more relevant than Nolan will ever be — from beyond the grave. Good, good. let the butthurt flow through you.

By the way, what are your two degrees in? lulz.

      • MJ

        I pity you, sock-puppet.

    • Strong Enough

      Nolan isn’t kubrick. He’s Nolan.

      • Strong Enough 2 B An Idiot

        Stunning insight, Lulz.

  • DEADP00L

A blatant rip off of V for Vendetta’s soundtrack. Is it me or did anybody else think of Jodi Fosters movie Contact when they saw this?

    • TJW

What exactly is the rip off? This isn’t the score. They are using the V for Vendetta track for this trailer.

      • DEADP00L

People who didn’t watch V for Vendetta aren’t going to know that. Cameron pulled this when he made the trailer for Avatar lifting The Islands music and using it in his trailer. I understood that was illegal with all the hoohah people were making after that.

      • TJW

Nope, it’s not illegal at all. It’s irrelevant what people who didn’t watch that movie are going to know or not know. People making trailers have been doing this for years. You get the rights to use a song or soundtrack and that’s it. Not a rip off.

      • DEADP00L

I don’t know about that either. Although it is relevant if people love the music being played and find out that’s not what they are going to be getting.

      • TJW

I mean relevance to whether this is a rip off or illegal in some way. I’ll just point to two recent examples, one trailer for the last Best Picture winner and one trailer for the next big movie coming out. No one has made a big deal about either, because it’s really common practice.
        https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z02Ie8wKKRg
        https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y_A8p99CYgM

      • DEADP00L

Oh I didn’t know that, I honestly thought that composers get a say in how their compositions are used and get a cut etc.

      • MJ

Nothing illegal about it. Standard practice, dude.

    • milo

In fact it’s not a ripoff of it, it IS a track from V for Vendetta, looks like it’s Evey Reborn. You can even use Shazam on the trailer and it recognizes the music.

Movies use tracks from older movies all the time, generally when initial trailers come out it is months before the composer has even seen the movie or started on it. Some of Nolan’s and Zimmer’s movies have had his music in the trailers (including bits in Man of Steel and ASM2) but those are the exceptions. I am a bit surprised they didn’t get Hans to find the time to do this trailer but he is having a busy year.

      • DEADP00L

Yeah I had no idea you could even do that until now. Collider really teaches you stuff about show business.

      • milo

For decades virtually every movie trailer used music from older movies. In recent years music houses have specifically created libraries of tracks for trailers and those are common now. But it has never been common for trailers to have music from the actual movie.

The studios own the rights to all that music from older film scores and they’re perfectly happy to keep using it to promote their new films.

      • MJ

        Exactly!

      • DEADP00L

        Cool. Thanks man.

  • http://tarek-to-verso.over-blog.com/ tarek

the only thing that bothers me is the Zimmer’s annoying and predictable music. the same motif again and again.

    • milo

      It’s not Zimmers.

      • http://tarek-to-verso.over-blog.com/ tarek

it’s not. But he will score the movie. I bet it will be a man of steel rip-off mixed with Inception score.

      • milo

He has said in interviews that he’s retiring his overused trademark sounds like the big drums and string ostinatos.

Which is humorous considering that he said the exact same thing when he was working on the Man of Steel soundtrack, and it has as much of those as ever.

      • DEADP00L

Worst sound track I ever heard was Man of Steel. It literally sounds like Bees buzzing in my ears.

      • MJ

Tarek, I am hoping he goes back to his roots and comes up with something more original. I agree with you that it would suck if keeps the recycling up. Inception was the only movie that his over the top drum-centric style really worked for me on.

Now that Nolan has proved himself a hack, fraud whore waste of space non-artist, DEFINITIVELY, with this piece of shit trailer for a movie nobody wants to see, are you prepared to do what a man would do and admit you ain’t nothing but a Nolanite bitch? I don’t think so. You’re obviously a worthless, good for nothing bitch. Victory is fucking sweet. You all are assholes. Rises is terrible. I bet 90% of this trailer (Most of the stuff on Earth) take place within first 45 minutes of the movie. Mark my words, this is just a glimpse of what to expect. It’s more than obvious that this trailer focuses mostly on human relationships and emotional side of the movie, and it just confirmed that there’s a wormhole involved. What happens after, we can just theorize until the film comes out.

Whomever is underwhelmed by this trailer does not understand what the trailer obviously depicts:
    1. The ultimate risk of our one resource that keeps mankind alive having to be gone (food)
    2. The ultimate risk of searching for life/hope beyond our solar system without ever coming back
    3. The ultimate risk of never returning back to a loved one ever again.
These are all elements that are going to be very interesting to see when this movie comes out. The rest who are underwhelmed, stay at home : )

what i’m really interested in is how well they sell the whole “no more food” thing. because i feel like if we can travel vast distances through space, we can probably create synthetic food in a lab

This looks corny to you? You do realize that we’re already crazy close to not having enough food to sustain the planet, right? In fact the ideal population (considering how much food the planet can grow) is 2 billion. What are we at now, 9?

I’d say the films plot makes a whole hell of a lot of sense and is therefore the opposite of corny.

Translation: “I’m a beotch. I hold having a troll account as a badge of honour.” So your account named MJ, which doesn’t have your name in real life, somehow holds you accountable to your entirely anonymous troll bullshit but if someone post under different aliases they lack confidence? Bold words for an obviously dim-witted asshat who claims to hold multiple degrees but offers nothing to back it up. You can’t step to me because I’m more intelligent than you are. Please respond. I want to ruin you again.

      • MJ

        BUSTED !!!

You just admitted that you have multiple identities here — a master of sock-puppets.

        I pity you, sock-puppet.

  • Strong Enough

    I came for the comments

It’s uber gratifying to see a spineless bitch like yourself eat crow. This fucking trailer was terrible and you know it. “I came for the comments” like you weren’t fucking waiting with baited breath for Nolan to shat a turd in your mouth fanboy pussy. Me and you know the truth. FUCK YOU STRONG ENOUGH!!!

  • Redjester

    Looks amazing. Can’t wait!

  • DG

Now remember this trailer only really showed the beginning part of the film. I’m sure once all the interstellar things happen we are in for one hell of a movie.

  • Brenton

Posted 10 hours ago and already has 101 comments. Say what you want, but this is why Chris Nolan is the best and most exciting filmmaker working today. My theory is not just proved by the admirers of him, which includes me. My theory is proved by the haters that flock to throw in their opinion of why he sucks so bad because their pissed he is loved so much.

    • MJ

Well said! I bet you can largely match up the haters here as some of the same people who have been defending that ASM2 crap movie so hard recently.

  • MJ

    THIS SO F’in ROCKS

    YES !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Mike

I don’t wanna get my hopes up too high. Last time that happened, Prometheus happened lol

  • alk

    zzzzzzzzzzz

  • spongefist

    Yawn, yawn, yawn…

  • Carrots

Interesting trailer. A little underwhelming compared to Nolan’s other trailers for his movies. But it feels like it’s going to be a dense movie considering the subject matter.

  • Chad

    Armageddon! Only worse.

    • MJ

This from someone who absolutely loved ASM2.

      Severe credibility issue here….

  • Mr. White

Poor Man’s Stanley Kubrick. Trailer looks frightening, but interesting. As per usual with possibly the greatest filmmaker of our current generation.

    • MJ

      Poor man’s Perry White.

Alot of big names in the cast but does anyone else think this is a really weak cast for a Christopher Nolan film? Even Insomnia, with it’s small cast, seems to have more variety and excitment to it than this cast. Matt Damon, Tohper Grace, Casey Affleck and Wes Bentley? Starring Matthew McConaughey ala Sandra Bullock in Gravity? I definitely seeing this but for the first time I’m not as excited, does anyone else feel the same/ no any background details that may explain this?

    • pickaname

You have Matthew McConaughey who’s had a career resurgence in the last three years that a lot of actors can only dream about, and to top that off he’s the latest oscar winner for best actor. Then you have Jessica Chastain, who’s easily one of the most exciting actresses working today, who could pretty much play anyTHING (a two time oscar nominee); Anne Hathaway, another exciting actress who has amazing range. The rest of the cast is filled by a legend like Michael Caine, and a lot of other solid/intriguing supporting actors like Casey Affleck and David Oyelowo. And then there’s Matt Damon, who’s sure to have some sort of an important role. I mean, how is THAT a weak cast? I just don’t understand.

  • Chippah

In keeping with Nolan’s theme, Cooper’s wife will be dead and he has raised the kids by himself.

  • Dinkleberg

Trailer seems identical thus far to the Spielberg script from a few years ago

  • derek

I liked the trailer. I thought it introduced the film well. I also think this is going to be another Mconoughey character piece. He will go on some life journey. People that expect a bat mobile explosion should go re watch the trilogy.

  • ʝoe ßloggs

A little conflicted with this trailer. On one hand, we have a small town family drama, and then next, we have the main character suiting up and catapulted into space and interstellar travel. I hope this film doesn’t merely play as an extended theoretical idea on film without a cohesive plot and/or narrative structure. That said, because it’s Nolan, I’ll provide a wide berth.

I thought it was Zimmer at first too but the music is actually Evey Reborn – Dario Marianelli from V for Vendetta. Interstellar OST should be pretty good though.

  • DEADP00L

    V for Vendetta music

  • milo

Not Zimmer, the trailer music is from V for Vendetta.

  • Carlos Rincones

Zimmer is still working on it!

  • BigJimSlade

    wow.

  • Joseph M

I’d say the 70′s was something of a golden era for American directors. Remember, these were the days before reboot/regeneration/sequel saturation. Kudos to Nolan for choosing a completely original concept. As for Kubrick’s – as you put it – couple of over-rated films that people must stop name-checking from Film Ed, well, your opinion is yours. I dare say Kubrick would have messed-up Batman.

  • MJ

Yea, I hate it when people get all sentimental on Kubrick. 2001 was great, and The Shining, Sparticus and Lolita were very good, but a lot of his other stuff — particularly some of his supposed “masterpieces” — frankly haven’t stood the test of time very well.

Dr. Strangelove — way over the top in-your-face satire that assumes the public needs a 60′s politics lesson, plus over the top cheeseball acting by Slim Pickens and others

Clockwork Orange is just so overrated; it was one of the first shock value films — beyond that, what’s the big deal? OK, they are bad guys who have no moral compass and the bureaucracy is inept at dealing with them…we get it, OK? Stop the pain of making me watch it, please!

Full Metal Jacket — horrible screenplay, hammy overacting by the Drill Sergeant, the most dumb-ass ending of a movie with the in-your face social commentary of “Mickey Mouse” — hell, even Star Trek in the 60′s never needed to be that obvious about delivering a social message to its audience…amateurish!!!

Paths of Glory and Barry Lyndon…Excruciatingly BORING and completely unrealistic in their historical context…enough said.

Eyes Wide Shut — yes, I wish I had had my eyes shut wide when watching that dumbass, uninteresting and heartless film.

  • dude

Hey, I thought we were supposed to worship star wars! How dare you?

  • BigJimSlade

I’m calling bullcrap on this being some sort of emotional and human story from Nolan.

  • replyshare

Shouldn’t we just wait though? Until we see the movie? Let’s just wait.

  • scififan

Disagree here. That is just the premise-introducing trailer – it’s shown us practically nothing about the actual space travel, where they go, if there’s a time travel paradox, if they come back, when they come back, 1/2 of the cast hasn’t even been shown, and we don’t even know what their plan is if they even find a planet suitable.

I found the travel intriguing and I’m super thrilled that there is a sci-fi blockbuster coming out that might have some brains.

  • Timothy

Here’s your prize for most hipsterish douchebag Yeah, everyone’s wrong but you. Geez you’re so fucking smart. I mean Kubrick’s movies are no where near the level of Insomnia but they’re okay.

  • MJ

Well you, in contrast, are not very smart. I provide actual reasoning and information, and all you can come up with is F-bombs, D-bags, and a nonsensical reference to Insomnia.

Sharpen your pencil and bring your A-game next time.

  • Timothy

oh yeah cause that was such a schooling that I wet ‘em. “Yes, I wish I had my eyes wide shut watching that dumbass, uninteresting and heartless film” A LEVEL SHIT, BRO! Such well-reasoned arguments. Holy shit, are you a fucking film professor, bro? HOLY SHIT BRO! You fucking git!

  • MJ

Three “shits” and two more F-bombs from you, plus a friendly “wet ‘em” and a “git.”

Still waiting for you to use “homie,” “bling” and “mofo.” One can only hope

PS: It would be so cool if you could please use “bada bing” in your next post?

  • Timothy

Troll harder, bro. You fail at it. It’s supposed to be subtle. Troll harder brah! BADA BING, BITCH!

  • DG

Yeah you’re absolutely right, I think I meant to word it that way but got lost in my argument lol
