First Look at AMC’s INTO THE BADLANDS Shoves a Sword in Your Face

The martial arts series premieres this fall.

In addition to promoting the upcoming The Walking Dead spinoff, Fear the Walking Dead, during tonight’s Walking Dead season finale, AMC also teased another series, Into the Badlands.

While it may not have zombies, Into the Badlands does have the hook of being a “genre-bending” martial arts drama. Per the official logline, “In a land controlled by feudal barons, Into the Badlands tells the story of a great warrior and a young boy who embark on a journey across a dangerous land to find enlightenment.” Daniel Wu (City of Glass) stars alongside Emily Beecham (28 Weeks Later), Sarah Bolger (The Tudors) and Oliver Stark (My Hero). The series comes from Smallville creators Al Gough and Miles Millar.
