One of the best stations on the exhibit floor at Comic-Con is the Marvel setup, with all the past Iron Man suits lined up in a row. At least, when I visited on Wednesday night it was all the past suits. Marvel has now added a new suit from Iron Man 3 to the row, with much more of the gold color and less of the red.
Directed by Shane Black and starring Robert Downey Jr., Ben Kingsley, Gwyneth Paltrow, Don Cheadle, Rebecca Hall, Ashley Hamilton, and Guy Pearce, Iron Man 3 opens May 3, 2013. Hit the jump for the image.

Who designed this new suit, Rumpelstiltskin? Too much gold, in my opinion.
One thing they should have changed (for the sake of changing/looks, not because it wasn’t working) is the helmet. There are a lot of different helmet styles out there for Iron Man, it would’ve been cool for a slight change, seeing that they change up the armor for every movie.

If you look closely, it’s less gold, and more a pale beige. Kinda has a 1970s vibe about it because of the beige – they could all the way, and make the red bits dark brown – would look like something from 1975…
Rather than a simple recolour, I would have liked to have seen a streamlining of the mask’s facial features/more of a streamlining of the body’s features, to show that the tech is ever-improving over time…
You all are fucking retarded. as i will agree its MORE gold there are two extremis suits. one that resembles his original look with a tad more red and then theres the CLASSIC Extremis that has the cannon on his shoulder. that one his biceps, shoulders, neck, abs, shoulder blades, thighs, ankles, inner and outter thighs were all GOLD. This really isnt that much off the Classic Extremis.
I think it’s quite possible that he may gain the extremis armor and get rid of it at the end of the film (much like spiderman jettisoning the alien symbiote). I guess that’s what I really am hoping for as I’m not the biggest extremis fan.
