Official synopsis for the movie version of Iron Man 3:

iron man 3 poster

Marvel Studios’ Iron Man 3 pits brash-but-brilliant industrialist Tony Stark/Iron Man against an enemy whose reach knows no bounds. When Stark finds his personal world destroyed at his enemy’s hands, he embarks on a harrowing quest to find those responsible. This journey, at every turn, will test his mettle. With his back against the wall, Stark is left to survive by his own devices, relying on his ingenuity and instincts to protect those closest to him. As he fights his way back, Stark discovers the answer to the question that has secretly haunted him: does the man make the suit or does the suit make the man?

Starring Robert Downey Jr., Gwyneth Paltrow, Don Cheadle, Guy Pearce, Rebecca Hall, Stephanie Szostak, James Badge Dale with Jon Favreau and Ben Kingsley, Iron Man 3 is directed by Shane Black from a screenplay by Drew Pearce and Shane Black and is based on Marvel’s iconic Super Hero Iron Man, who first appeared on the pages of Tales of Suspense (#39) in 1963 and had his solocomic book debut with The Invincible Iron Man (#1) in May of 1968. Iron Man 3 is presented by Marvel Studios in association with Paramount Pictures and DMG Entertainment. Marvel Studios’ President Kevin Feige is producing and Jon Favreau, Louis D’Esposito, Stephen Broussard, Victoria Alonso, Alan Fine, Charles Newirth, Stan Lee and Dan Mintz are executive producers. The film releases May 3, 2013, and is distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures.

oh p**s off, it really bugs me all this toy related spoiler rubbish, THERE TOYS!!!
Oh my god this must mean iron man fights the villain in an awful looking car? Aaah no, i now know there may be a boat in the film somewhere, arrrgh. Oh my god this is going too far now LEGO, a picture of ‘malibu mansion attack”?, not that scene from the trailers? NOOOOO, NO MORE TOY SPOILERS, NOT THE SPOILERS!!! :P

Anyway, TOYS! You really must be desperate for news on your website. I am interested in seeing the toys, some are really cool, especially LEGO sets, but just show the toys/merchandise off in an article for what they are, don’t post it up as spoiler material, joke!

1.Why, in the Malibu Mansion Attack set, is there a little pale green zombie version of Tony Stark?

2.Rhoney’s energy discharge is red, does this mean he’s not using arc reactor technology or does his beams just turn red when he gets angry?

3.Aldrich Killian tries to outrun Iron Man in a speedboat while firing an energy weapon at him, this seems stupid and seems like a scene you’d find in a Roger Moore Bond film circa 1985. So yeah, ugh.

    4. The Mandarin dons a “muscle tee” for his final showdown with Iron Man before jumping in his giant Saturday morning cartoon tie-in merchandise toy “Death Machine” just like a classic GI Joe, Power Rangers, TMNT or He-Man villain would do.

They do know that adult (in addition to seven year olds) watch these films and contribute to their overall box office success, don’t they?

You do know that these are LEGO sets that while fun for adults are meant for children and that toys often don’t reflect exactly what is happening in a movie they are based on?

      • e9uhf9uweh

Well, the Dark Knight Rises ones were pretty spot on, so your point is moooot.
