Netflix has lined up an impressive cast of up-and-coming young talent for its YA movie Let It Snow, based on the bestselling book by John Green, Maureen Johnson and Lauren Myracle.

Isabela Moner (Instant Family) will star alongside Shameik Moore (Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse), Kiernan Shipka (Chilling Adventures of Sabrina), Odeya Rush (Dumplin'), Jacob Batalon (Spider-Man: Homecoming), Miles Robbins (Halloween), Mitchell Hope (Descendants), Liv Hewson (Santa Clarita Diet) and Anna Akana (You Get Me), as well as beloved character actress Joan Cusack (Shameless).

Let It Snow is set on Christmas Eve as a massive snowstorm hits a small town. Over the course of one night, several high school seniors discover unexpected opportunities as well as complications that test their friendships, love lives, and aspirations for the future. Character descriptions weren't immediately available, and I haven't read the book, so I'll be curious to see which actors are paired together.

Luke Snellin will direct from a script by Victoria Strouse (Finding Dory), and Dylan Clark (Bird Box) will produce via his eponymous production company along with Alexa FaigenBeau Bauman, who serves as executive VP of Dylan Clark Productions, will executive produce alongside Brendan Ferguson. Filming will begin imminently, and it's possible that Netflix could have this movie ready in time for the holidays.

While Let It Snow isn't purely a John Green adaptation, Netflix will no doubt be targeting the author's immense fanbase and relying on him to hype the movie on social media. The adaptation of Green's Paper Towns was perceived as a disappointment because it didn't take off like The Fault In Our Stars ($307 million worldwide) did, but it still managed to rake in $85 million worldwide on a modest $12 million budget -- a hit by any definition. I don't expect Netflix to release Let It Snow in theaters, but this is a very marketable project for the streaming service and with this star-studded young cast, it could lure a lot of teen viewers.

CAA represents Moner, Shipka, Moore and Rush, while Shipka and Rush are also repped by Anonymous Content and MGMT Entertainment, respectively.
