In iZombie's "Even Cowgirls Get the Black and Blues," Major (Robert Buckley) finally turned to Liv (Rose McIver) for help with his utopium addiction, and in "Love & Basketball," we get to see Liv giving him the pep talk he needs. Thankfully, she also happens to be on basketball coach brain, so she's able to frame advice by channeling her inner Pat Reilly (or maybe, in football terms, Coach Taylor). Clear eyes, full of brains, can't lose!

Check out the clip below, and in case you missed it, here's a tease about the scene you didn't get to see from last week's episode (and it is amazing). You can also read the full episode synopsis under the video -- it looks like this week we'll be seeing Ravi (Rahul Kohli) and Blaine (David Anders) teaming up to try and recreate the cure (during my visit to the set in Vancouver recently, Rahul Kohli teased the fact that Ravi's interactions with Blaine are excellent in this episode. Also, just in case you didn't know, those guys are total goofballs).

iZombie airs Tuesday nights on the CW

“Love & Basketball” – (9:00-10:00 p.m. ET)

THINGS ARE STARTING TO GET REAL — Liv (Rose McIver), Detective Babineaux (Malcolm Goodwin) and Ravi (Rahul Kohli) investigate the mysterious death of a peewee basketball coach.  Liv, consumed with overzealous coach brains, gives Major (Robert Buckley) a much needed pep talk. Meanwhile, things get a little crazy when Blaine (David Anders) and Ravi are forced to work together to recreate the cure. Lastly, Detective Babineaux receives a surprise visit from Suzuki’s widow Helen. Michael Fields directed the episode written by Bob Dearden (#205). Original airdate 11/3/2015.
