Just a few hours ago I participated in a roundtable interview with Jack Black for his new movie "Year One". I got to attend the New York City junket as a reporter for our partner website Omelete and in the coming days, I'll have video interviews with Michael Cera, Jack Black, David Cross and director Harold Ramis.

But since Jack spoke about some of his possible future projects, I figured you'd like to read what he said on "School of Rock 2", "Master of Space and Time", and "Kung Fu Panda 2".

If you'd like to hear what he said, it's after the jump:

When I asked him the status of "School of Rock 2" and if it's going to happen, Jack said:

"Only if it's in some way better than the first one would I want to do that. So it's in development, but it's not there yet, where I feel like there's really a reason to do it."

He was then asked if Richard Linklater would be doing it and Jack said, "Yeah. I wouldn't want to do it without Richard."

I then asked him about a film listed on IMDB called "Master of Space and Time". I wanted to know what was up with the project as Michael Gondry is listed as the director and Dave Chappelle is listed as Jack's co-star. While this pairing sounds amazing, unfortunately, Jack said, "No, that's just a floater. I hope someday, but I think it's in a state of Arrested Development". That reference was aimed at his co-star of "Year One", Michael Cera, as he was sitting right next to him.

Finally, I asked him if he was looking forward to "Kung Fu Panda 2"?

Jack said, "I am. We've got a great story. Kung Fu Panda 2...The Kaboom of Doom."

Since I hadn't heard the title before, I asked if that was really what it's called?

His response, "Yeah."

After the interview ended I checked IMDB and sure enough, that's the title. But since I hadn't heard about it, I figure a lot of you haven't either.

Of course I ran out of time before I could get more info on the story, but I'm sure we'll hear a lot more on "Kung Fu Panda 2" in the near future as it was a huge hit for DreamWorks. Look for my video interview with Jack Black and Michael Cera soon.
