First up from The Wrap is news that Universal is high on O'Connell, who is negotiating a lead role in Station 6, the first installment in the studio's potential franchise. Universal acquired Aaron Berg’s spec script for a reported price tag north of $1 million. "The historical spy thriller follows the World War I-era formation of British intelligence agency MI6 and its first director, Sir George Mansfield Cummings, who served as the inspiration for M in the “James Bond” series." No director is currently attached. O'Connell currently stars as Louis Zamperini in Angelina Jolie’s Unbroken for Universal.
The Wrap also reports that Quinn will join Trainwreck, which also has Brie Larson and Bill Hader in negotiations to co-star. No plot details are available just yet, but the film has already landed a release date of July 24, 2015.
And now the news you've all been waiting for! Deadline reports that Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2 has added to its cast. "Henrie plays Lane, a charming valet attendant whom Blart’s daughter Maya develops a crush on; Verastegui will play a Vegas hotelier whose hotel becomes a heist target; Turturro has been cast as one of Blart’s security guard rivals; and Valentine is set to play a sympathetic fellow security guard. Rodriguez is in negotiations to reprise her role as Maya."
