Here’s the official synopsis for Jack the Giant Slayer:

Jack the Giant Slayer tells the story of an ancient war that is reignited when a young farmhand unwittingly opens a gateway between our world and a fearsome race of giants. Unleashed on the Earth for the first time in centuries, the giants strive to reclaim the land they once lost, forcing the young man, Jack, into the battle of his life to stop them. Fighting for a kingdom, its people, and the love of a brave princess, he comes face to face with the unstoppable warriors he thought only existed in legend—and gets the chance to become a legend himself.

It just gets worse, costumes look awful and cheap. Combined with the latest trailer, i’d put money down on this being a legendary flop.

dude, that’s Bryan Singer, the director. he’s not in costume.

Oh…dear…God… This looks like it will be worse than Superman… The CGI makes I Am Legend look bleeding-edge!
Singer had such a promising career to…

I think Some of the CGI looks OKish in the pics (not as bad as it looks in the trailers, so our eyes may get used to the CGI when it’s not cut into. The main problem is the design of some of the giants though, which makes it look like the CGI is shit. Especially the giant with hair! That looks fucking stupid!

Also this film kind of points to how stupid movies have become. We have a good director who made great films like the usual suspects, Apt Pupil. Great thrillers not relying on CGI bullshit in the first place. I feel studios are pressuring good directors like Singer for these types of movies when these types of movies aren’t their speciality. Singer should stick to films more grounded in reality. Valkyrie had its problems but the action and everything looked great!

Add Tim Burton to that list as well. Burton can’t do CGI.
