Deadline reports on Courtney's roles in two major upcoming films.  First up is Unbroken, the Universal film that explores "the unbreakable spirit of Louis Zamperini, the former Olympic track prodigy who endured unimaginable hardship as a WWII POW at the hands of Japanese prison guards."  Courtney will play "Hugh ‘Cup’ Cuppernell, a WWII veteran pilot who gets caught in tenacious midair gunfight alongside Zamperini (Jack O’Connell)."

The Water Diviner is Crowe's directorial debut that centers on an "Australian man who travels to Turkey to attempt to locate the bodies of his three sons, who were killed there during WWI."  Courtney will play "Lieutenant-Colonel Cecil Hilton, the smart, efficient soldier tasked with organizing the effort to identify the tens of thousands of soldiers killed at Gallipoli. He reluctantly allows Connor (Crowe) to stay and look for his sons’ bodies."  The film also stars Olga Kurylenko.

Heat Vision reports that Gruffudd and Riggs will join Home Invasion.  The film tells the story of "a family imprisoned in their own home by intruders who play a life-and-death game in which the mysterious rules become clear as the night unfolds."  Riggs and Thorne will play the siblings while Gruffudd stars as the father opposite Martinez as the step-mother.
