With Miss Sloane now playing in in theaters, I recently sat down with Jake Lacy to talk about director John Madden’s new film. During the interview he talked about his reaction to the material, getting to work with Jessica Chastain, and what kind of research he did to play a male escort. Plus, he spoke about how he’s currently filming the Showtime series I’m Dying Up Here, what it’s about, and more.

If you’re not familiar with the film, Jessica Chastain is fantastic as a ruthless lobbyist that’s willing to do whatever it takes to win. As the film unfolds, we follow as she attempts to take on the gun lobby and her former firm. While we all know the term “lobbyist,” Miss Sloane pulls the curtain back on how Capitol Hill games are played and I thought it was really well done. The film also stars Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Mark Strong, Jake Lacy, Alison Pill, Michael Stuhlbarg, Sam Waterston and John Lithgow.

Check out what they had to say in the interview above, and below is exactly what we talked about along with some images from the film. You can also watch the Miss Sloane trailer by clicking here.
