An image for the new James Bond film, Skyfall, is getting passed around with the claim that it’s an official image. In terms of the framing and image quality, that certainly seems true. But I can’t believe that an image of Bond lounging poolside is the first official look at the film. I mean, I know 007 doesn’t mind going for a dip, but the shot doesn’t scream “Bond”. It screams “Daniel Craig enjoys his stay at the London Four Seasons (where the shot was taken).”
I trust the source; I’m just having trouble believing my eyes. Hit the jump to check out the image. Skyfall stars Daniel Craig, Naomie Harris, Ben Chaplin, Judi Dench, Berenice Marlohe, Helen McCroy, Albert Finney, and Ralph Fiennes. The film opens November 9th.

What would you expect from a guy who enjoys women, alcohol and luxury… to me it does scream “Bond” and i could imagine a similar picture taken from Casino Royale, which was awesome, at least for me.
This photo and the poster from Cowboys and Aliens cements my opinion that Daniel Craig has a fantastic ass.
I would expect a similar image from a Sean Connery era Bond film. Which is really the highest complement available.

Seriously, how about a movie where he just swims around, climbs in and out of pools, walks across beaches, etc. I’d be down with that.
I agree with Matt, this is a stupid first look, looks like an ad for cologne or something. show us bond holding a gun, or with a chick, or something other than him sitting by the pool…does nothing to get one excited for the movie
Its definitely from the set at least. If you check mi6 you will find out they shot at that location.
Says Bond to me. It’s also different and very unexpected first image that hearkens back to 60s Bond. Old School Bond (Connery) lounged around lot. I mean how many time have we seen Bond with a gun and a girl. Just go and look at the first images of Quantum of Solace or the end of Casino Royale to seen Bond holding a big gun. lol.

So basically what you’re saying is the picture is different and it’s going in an original direction? Good, that’s what made Casino Royale one of the best.
