Jamie Foxx re-unites with Robert Downey Jr. and Joins Zach Galifianakis for Todd Phillips’ DUE DATE

     September 30, 2009

So when “The Soloist” meets “The Hangover”, I guess you get Todd Phillips’ “Due Date” because Jamie Foxx has just signed on to co-star with Robert Downey Jr. and Zach Galifianakis.  If you told me at the beginning of the year that I would see this kind of combination, I would accuse you of having wishful and really random thinking but I guess the joke’s on me.  Hit the jump for more details.

“Due Date” is a road-trip comedy about a high-strung father-to-be (Downey) who has to hitch a ride with a college slacker to make it to the birth on time.  I already love this movie because it has the 40-year-old Galifianakis (who actually turns 40 today) playing a college slacker.  Foxx would play the long-time friend of Downey’s character who once dated his wife (Michelle Monaghan so throw “Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang” in there too) but secretly keeps in contact with her.
