A new trailer for "G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra" just his YouTube but this trailer is different because it's in Japanese and has a half-second of footage showing Cobra Commander (played by Joseph Gordon-Levitt). It completely changes the tone and look of the film. Okay, that's a slight exaggeration. In fact, it looks exactly the same except it has Japanese subtitles. But silly, CGI-heavy action is universal and I have a feeling that our Japanese friends will really appreciate it. After all, they practically invented fake-looking effects destroying cities. Personally, I'm just hoping that "G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra" doesn't take itself too seriously, has a few jokes, and just wants to make you smile, like a retarded puppy that tells jokes. If it can get away with that, then it will be better than "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen". Hell, it will beat "Transformers" if it doesn't clock in at two-and-a-half hours.
Hit the jump to check out the new trailer. "G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra" hits theatres on August 7th.
