At WonderCon, Fox unveiled a 3 minute sizzle reel from their upcoming time travel and dinosaur filled TV series Terra Nova.   While the show has been delayed until the fall, after watching the footage, I understand why.  Not only does the show take place 85 million years in the past, it also takes place a hundred years in the future.  Nothing is present day.  It’s without a doubt one of the most ambitious ideas for network television to ever be greenlit and I couldn’t be more excited.  For all our previous coverage on Terra Nova including trailers and images, click here. Before the panel, I got to talk with Jason O'Mara who plays one of the leads.  We talked about the epic scope of the project, how physical the role is, the intense production schedule, and, of course, what's his go-to karaoke song.  Hit the jump to watch. Finally, if you missed my video interview with producer Brannon Braga and producer/director Alex Graves, click here.Jason O'Mara

  • His go-to karaoke song is "Bohemian Rhapsody."  He figures you always get points for ambition.
  • 0:40 - When he first read the script, his first question is how they would shoot this on a television budget.  He is excited by the epic scope of the project.
  • 2:05 - The role is extremely physical, which requires him to keep in really good shape.  He looks to buff Stephen Lang for motivation.
  • 3:00 - The intensive production requires a 9-day shooting schedule for each episode.  They will have to shoot really fast to make sure the show gets in the can.
