Production on Kevin Smith's Jay and Silent Bob Reboot has officially begun, and the filmmaker is celebrating the occasion with a behind-the-scenes pic alongside Jason Mewes and Jason Lee, both of which appear to have lived their lives completely untouched by the hands of time. Silent Bob himself looks a bit different, of course, but for good reason; Smith turned his health around after surviving a massive heart attack exactly one year before Reboot began filming. "We picked 2/25 as the Reboot start date *intentionally*, to celebrate the fact that I did not become Silent Bob forever 365 days ago," Smith wrote in a heartfelt message accompanying the photo.

The film will return Smith to his View Askewniverse for the first time since 2006's Clerks II to play around with characters he created all the way back in 1994 for his breakthrough Clerks. Reboot will essentially be a do-over of 2001's Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back—which only grossed $33 million worldwide but did introduce that "15 bucks, little man / Put that shit in my hand" song into the pop culture lexicon—while also mocking the idea of reboots and sequels.
