Jeff Zucker slice

When you’re standing on a red carpet, you never know who you’re going to speak with.  Often you spend a few hours waiting to land interviews and if you’re lucky, you recognize everyone and have a few questions worth asking.

And then you have a day like today.

While waiting for Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger and Steven Spielberg to come down the red carpet, I realized that the President and CEO of NBC Universal, Jeff Zucker, was literally walking right in front of me.  So what did I decide to do?  My usual….I called out his name and managed to get him to answer a few of my questions.  Hit the jump to check it out:

Again, I literally didn’t have a second to try and think of any questions. Usually I’m very prepared, but it’s not too often you get to speak to the President and CEO of a major corporation, so please bear that in mind as you watch.  As I was driving home I realized so many things I could have asked but didn’t….Heroes, future NBC shows, movie questions.

And if you’d like to watch the press conference I attended today with Schwarzenegger and Spielberg, click here.

I'd ask him how he feels about Leno's ratings now that they have settled in around Conan territory. Oh, and how it feels to be the most reviled exec working in television. I know – “Jeff, what is it like to drive a once great network straight into the ground?” Or, how about, how's the resume looking?
Clearly you can't ask him that, but now is a good time for anyone who has ever been shafted by Zucker to pile on because this guy has lost all credibility and the line up for the fall is not looking good. I suspect he will be out on his ass by mid-season. Good-bye, douche.
