Jeffrey Dean Morgan (The Losers) is set to play the title role in the action film The Courier. Directed by Hany Abu-Assad (who did the excellent Paradise Now), the film has Morgan playing “a courier who has taken on improbable missions and never missed a drop. He’s hired to deliver a briefcase to a notorious underworld figure that can’t be found. The courier finds himself pursued by corrupt cops, double-crossing feds and rival crime bosses.” According to Deadline, filming begins next month in New Orleans.
I think Morgan is a terrific actor and I’m glad we’re going to be seeing a lot of him. He’s got some great-looking films coming up including the remake of Red Dawn, Ami Mann’s The Fields co-starring Sam Worthington, The Resident with Hilary Swank, and Bruce Beresford’s Peace, Love, and Misunderstanding.
