Some days you just want to walk down the street in your bright-red wig and blue body paint without the whole world staring at you; if you’re Jennifer Lawrence, you can get away with the first part, at least.  Lawrence was recently seen on the set of X-Men: Days of Future Past in her rather revealing “costume” for her shape-shifting character, Mystique.  The body paint doesn’t leave much to the imagination, which you can see for yourself in this new batch of set photos.  Also appearing on set are director Bryan Singer and a mystery guest who some are theorizing to be the super-strong and bionically-enhanced Misty Knight.

Also starring Michael Fassbender, Nicholas Hoult, James McAvoy, Peter Dinklage and Evan Peters, not to mention returning franchise members Ian McKellan, Patrick StewartHugh Jackman, Anna Paquin, Ellen Page, Daniel Cudmore, and Halle Berry, X-Men: Days of Future Past opens July 18, 2014.  Hit the jump to see the new set images.

    My GOD she is hot!!!

    • Bo

Really? You think so? A bit too chunky for me…sorry…horrible, just horrible, but what can I say? I like ‘em thin and when. All of this is just nonsense. My respect for this young actress continues to drop by the day. Why would any young woman want to display themselves in this manner? For what accord? It’s just trite and tasteless and the whole X-Men thing is so low level it can be considered trash! I once thought that this young actress was on the way to doing some excellent and meaningful work, but Hollywood and our culture in general has absorbed her and now she’s just ordinary. Pity!

…Really? Wow. As for your own thing involving her doing some “excellent and meaningful work,” take a look at Silver Linings Playbook which she recently an Oscar for. Take a look at the slate of films she has coming out over the next few years. She’s far from ordinary, and thank god no one is striving to be what you consider extraordinary.

2 oscar nom.’s by the time she’s 22 is pretty excellent….take your rant elsewhere because any actress would’ve killed for her part in these movies…also your “type” of woman is called a skeletor….enjoy getting hit with those sharp hip bones

I bet women just throw themselves at your feet don’t they. The X-Men comics/movies are far from meaningless trash and have been a constant source of inspiration for outsiders from all walks of life. Social issues such as racism, anti-semitism, homophobia etc are all recurring themes in the series. All the allegory was purposefully put into Bryan Singer’s films who weaved in his own feelings of being a gay man and an outsider. Jennifer Lawrence’s character, Mystique, is a character who can change into anybody she wants to be but is fighting for her right to be herself, even if that’s a blue skinned barbie doll with realistic proportions. But no, you judge away at the audacity the creators had to make this film and hire someone who doesn’t meet your ridiculous standards of beauty. By the way she’s fucking stunning!

Guess I’m throwing my pearls before the swine here. Makes me one of your ‘outsiders’ I guess. My point is made by all the replies to my post. Now it’s a stupid infantile male ego argument pertaining to women’s bodies. My point excactly. Look, Silver Lining was junk; manipulative, false, mushy feel good crap! I’ve a family member with ‘mental issues’ and it ain’t a cake walk and funny like this stupid low brow movie. Ms. Lawerence was excellent in Winter’s Bone and Burning Plains. Now she’s become a typical Hollywood actress. So be it. Her choice to make. I’ve lost interest in her. Hunger Games? Come on, man! Childish immature trash and not even done very well. Your choices are going along with the herd here while you commend Singer for weaving in the outsider into his film. Ya can’t have it both ways, Lee. So I’m the outsider here and you attack me for it. Guess you didn’t learn much from X Men. And she’s still too chunky for me and should leave her clothes on. Sorry, I’m fishing with a bare hook here but quite sure you’ll still bite away none the less. Again, my point is the whole blue naked thing is immature provocation without taking responsibility for it being so. Let’s grow up here; wake up; quit walking through life asleep not knowing what is really going on around you. I give up…like I said…’throwing my pearls before the swine here’…waste of time. Ya can’t teach a pig to sing…never works and it only irritates the pig! If the bacon fits…then wear it!! Irony ye all, irony…jokin’ with ya…gotta learn to laugh as it’s all not important or worth getting all riled up…laugh…tee hee…bye!

You’d have to have a flawless bod to make that look good like Rebecca Romijn did. While very fit, Lawrence doesn’t have that kind of supermodel physique and is likely very aware of it. Still she put herself out there, so I gotta give her props. She does look crazy hot in a dress.

  • Yurine

It must be really awkward being blue, let alone being almost naked.

    • jack

“F.uck being blue…It’s not that easy being green” – kermit

  • Cale

I think I just blue myself!

  • larry

I wonder how much screen time everyone is going to have?

  • grapes9h5

so hot, even when she blue herself

  • sense11

My blue balls and her would have a wonderful time together

  • Pk

Wow must be a whole new experience for her to walk around buck naked in front of a crowd

    • Norman

I think she’s actually in a bodysuit this time.

      • Pk

It looks like she’s covered in only blue paint and some scale like cover up for her privates

  • Norman

Anyone know the actress with her?

  • Emmanuel Vic

Am I the Only one that sees Misty Knight in an X-Men film?
