Fans of The Hunger Games, and particularly of star Jennifer Lawrence, will want to hit the jump to check out new images of the actress from her new horror/thriller, House at the End of the Street. Yesterday, we brought you the first image of Lawrence from the new movie and now we have two new images plus a pretty decent fan poster. Anything Lawrence-related is hot right now with The Hunger Games dominating the box-office, but anyone who’s seen Winter’s Bone knows that Lawrence has a long, long career ahead of her.
House at the End of the Street, directed by Mark Tonderai (Hush), stars Lawrence and Elisabeth Shue (Hollow Man) as a daughter and mother who have taken up residence next to a murder house in a new town. Lawrence befriends the murdered family’s only remaining survivor, played by Max Thieriot (Jumper), and discovers disturbing secrets within the confines of the house itself. House at the End of the Street opens September 21st. Hit the jump to check out the new images and poster.
Here’s a comment from Tonderai regarding Lawrence and Shue’s characters in House at the End of the Street:
“She’s a high school kid, about 17, and they’ve just moved into this new area. Her father was in a rock band and was never around. The mother, in the early part of her life, was always out on the road with her husband taking drugs and getting drunk. When she cleaned up and they got divorced, she was always out working. Suddenly, she thinks she wants to engage and be a parent, but at this point her daughter is becoming a woman and has been left to herself for a long time. She rejects these overtures of motherly love.”

Her & Michael Fassbender seem to be in every other movie these days, which is cool but..overkill.
I don’t think that’s a fan poster. It’s the official poster for the movie
she is really over hyped. she is a fine but boring actress – seriously, watch winter’s bone again; it’s a pretty one note performance. the fanning sisters can act rings around her.
on top of that, she just isn’t that great looking – puffy butter face, and a little on the chunky side, a little like julia stiles. take a look at that first picture at the top of the page. not exactly anyone’s dream date.
I thought she was good in Winter’s Bone, but I see your point… she is a great actress, subtlety is her greatest tactic. She is beautiful though.
