Here's today's round of casting announcements:
- Jessica Alba (Sin City) will play the villain in Kyle Newman's comedy, Barely Lethal, starring Hailee Steinfeld and Samuel L. Jackson.
- Mike Birbiglia (Sleepwalk with Me) has joined Josh Boone's The Fault in Our Stars.
- Kathrine Narducci (The Sopranos) joins Clint Eastwood's Jersey Boys adaptation.

Screen Daily reports
that not only will Alba join Barely Lethal, she'll be playing the villain. The picture centers on "Megan (Steinfeld), a teenage assassin who is hunted by a former associate after she fakes her own death and enrolls in a suburban high school." Alba will play Victoria Knox, the aforementioned huntress. She's also got a rather busy release schedule ahead of her, as she'll soon be seen in A.C.O.D., Stretch, and Sin City: A Dame To Kill For.
The Fault in Our Stars author John Green tweeted the following announcement for the adaptation of his novel:
So excited to announce that one of my all-time favorite comedians/humans, Mike Birbiglia (@birbigs), will play Patrick in the TFiOS movie.
The picture centers on two cancer-stricken teens, played by Shailene Woodley and Ansel Elgort, who meet and form a life-changing relationship.
Lastly, from The Wrap, is news that Narducci "will play Frankie Valli's mother, Mary Rinaldi, alongside Lou Volpe as Frankie's father, Anthony." The movie stars John Lloyd Young, Eric Bergen, Michael Lomenda and Vincent Piazza as The Four Seasons members Frankie Valli, Bob Gaudio, Nick Massi and Tommy DeVito, respectively. Christopher Walken, Jeremy Luke and Steve Schirripa also star.
