With the show’s November premiere/release date quickly approaching, Netflix is ramping up the marketing for the second Marvel series, Jessica Jones. A new, full-length trailer for the Daredevil follow-up was unveiled last week, and now a new one-sheet has landed online that puts David Tennant’s villainous Purple Man front and center. Krysten Ritter stars as the titular character, a former superhero who is working to rebuild her personal life and career as a detective when a formidable figure from her past returns. All bets are on that figure being Tennant’s The Purple Man, a character who in the comics tormented Jessica Jones with his mind control abilities. Daredevil was an incredibly grounded series with nary a mention of supernatural abilities, but it appears that Jessica Jones may be treading a bit further into that territory.
Check out the static and motion posters below. Marvel’s Jessica Jones will be followed on Netflix by a second season of Daredevil and the series Marvel’s Luke Cage and Marvel’s Iron Fist, with all of the individual characters then teaming up for Marvel’s The Defenders. Executive produced by Melissa Rosenberg, Jessica Jones also stars Mike Colter, Rachael Taylor, Carrie-Anne Moss, Eka Darville, Erin Moriarty, and Wil Travail.
All 13 one-hour episodes premiere on Netflix on November 20th.
