A little over a week ago, I got to visit the set of one of the best shows on television: NBC’s Community. As I said yesterday when I posted a bunch of behind the scenes photos from the set, I learned a lot about the upcoming third season and it all sounds great. Since I know most of you don’t want to be spoiled, I’ll just leave you with a hint of what’s to come. While last season was about Pierce (Chevy Chase) being the antagonist of the group, the third season is about outside antagonists…
While on set, I got to participate in group interviews with the cast. While I debated which one to post first, I decided to go with the one that had the least spoilers: Joel McHale (Jeff) and Alison Brie (Annie). During the interview they talked about the way the show is put together, the amount of Emmy’s the show has gotten, what’s in store for the third season, if there will be paintball, the additions of Michael K. Williams and John Goodman and how their characters impact the show, McHale talks about taping The Soup during Community and Brie talks briefly about Mad Men, and a lot more. Hit the jump to watch.
Remember, Community returns on September 22nd at 8/7c and the second season hits DVD tomorrow. If you’re not yet watching, do yourself a favor and pick up the DVDs. You’ll love them.

Come on Alison, pose for Maxim lol
i watch the pilot for Community and it was the most boring tv show i have ever seen. i havent watch another one since
I felt the same way with Outsourced. I watched one episode and I never watched it since. But Community really is a great show, you should give it another try. Most shows have a rocky start before being amazing, like The Office or Parks and Recreation. Community is one of them. But hey, it’s up to you.
yea i guess. am really picky with shows.
It really is a good show, Strong. It started slow like most shows do but really came into its’ own by mid-season 1. It also doesn’t hurt that it has this girl and a hot blonde girl in it too.
Yeah I thought the show was d.o.a when I watched the first episode but since then they’ve had some of the most creative episodes of any comedy on television.
Right, because everyone knows that the PILOT reflects the quality of an entire 48-episode series. Great logic there.
Really nice interview. Words cannot describe just how much I love this show. I hope it gets to stay on the air for as long as Dan Harmon wants it to.
Great show. Great writing.
I can’t wait for the next season…
I love watching Joel McHale host the Soup and I was thinking of getting tickets to see his stand up.

God, Alison Brie was so hot in Mad Men, but guess their loss is Community’s gain. Very hot and definitely Sexiest Jewish Babe on TV…ever!!!
She’s done both shows at the same time. There’s no indication she won’t be in the next Mad Men season, in that very small supporting role she always had.
they seem so awesome in person! i hope the show gets at least 1 nomination next year cuz they all work so hard to be laugh out loud hilarious and succeed every time
