Here is a bit of end-of-the-week casting news for you at a glance:

  • John Goodman (The Big Lebowski) and Eric Andre (The Invention of Lying) have joined the cast of director Shawn Levy's The Internship.  The comedy reunites Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson as two out of work salesmen who reinvent themselves by taking an internship at a tech company.
  • Rosie Perez (Pineapple Express) has joined the stellar cast of director Ridley Scott's The Counselor.  Following the tale of a lawyer who takes to drug trafficking to score some extra cash, The Counselor also stars Brad Pitt, Michael Fassbender, Javier Bardem, Penelope Cruz, Cameron Diaz and Dean Norris.

Variety reports that Goodman and Andre are set to star in The Internship, which also stars Max Minghella and Rose Byrne alongside Dylan O'Brien, JoAnna Garcia, Josh Brener, Tiya Sircar and Tobit Raphael.  Goodman will make a cameo as the boss of Vaughn and Wilson's characters while Andre is set as a mentor to the duo.  Goodman can next be heard lending his voice to characters in ParaNorman and Pixar's Monsters University Andre is finishing up his Adult Swim show, The Eric Andre Show and also stars on ABC's Don't Trust the B in Apt 23.

The Playlist reports that Perez will join The Counselor in an unspecified role.  The picture stars Fassbender as a lawyer who needs a cash infusion after proposing to his girlfriend (Cruz) so he makes a deal with Reiner (Bardem), a man with deep ties to the criminal underworld.  The pair arranges to transport $20 million of cocaine across the border and are assisted by the devious Westray (Pitt).  The Counselor was scripted by Cormac McCarthy, so fat chance for a happy ending.
