Summit has released a brief John Wick: Chapter 2 trailer teaser ahead of the film’s trailer, which will premiere this weekend at New York Comic-Con. The sequel sees Wick (Keanu Reeves) once again forced out of retirement and headed to Rome to fulfill a blood oath to a former associate.

As you can see from this brief glimpse at the film, John Wick has lost none of its style, and I’m curious to see how much action the first trailer will provide. One of the benefits of the original John Wick is that it came out of nowhere and took everyone by surprise. Now it’s got to reach people’s expectations.

I don’t know what kind of lunacy John Wick: Chapter 2 has in store, but expectations are definitely high. The original pushed the boundaries of action stunt work, and, more importantly, set up a vast, interesting world that we really only got a peek at. Hopefully, Chapter 2 gives us a better look at the international assassins’ guild alongside Wick killing lots and lots of bad guys.

Check out the John Wick: Chapter 2 trailer teaser below, and come back this weekend to see the full trailer. The film opens February 10, 2017, and also stars Common and Ruby Rose, with Ian McShane, John Leguizamo, and Lance Reddick reprising their roles from the first movie.
