Last night in New York City, I hosted a free John Wick screening near Comic-Con and had the fortune of moderating a very fun Q&A with Keanu Reeves and Alfie Allen. While I love John Wick, you never know how something might play with a big NYC crowd, but during the screening there were plenty of laughs, gasps, and tons of applause during the incredible action set pieces. In the film, Reeves stars as an ex-hitman that comes out of retirement to track down the gangsters that took everything from him. Adrianne Palicki, Willem Dafoe, Bridget Moynahan, Ian McShane, Jason Isaacs, Alfie Allen, Lance Reddick, John Leguizamo, and Michael Nyqvist also star. For more on the movie, watch the trailer, or check out all our previous coverage. Trust me, this is a film that absolutely needs to be seen in a theater.
Since most of you weren’t able to make the screening last night, Lionsgate is offering another way to see John Wick for free: they’re hosting 42 free screenings around the country on October 21st and 22nd (depending on your city). So if you’re looking forward to this awesome movie (and you should be), hit the jump to get free tickets!
If you’d like to attend any of the screenings listed below, click here asap and get tickets. I really can’t recommend this one enough if you like action films. If it’s not playing in your area, you won’t have long to wait since John Wick opens nationwide on October 24th. Look for a number of exclusive interviews from the film on Collider during the week of release.
