JOHN WICK Image Featuring Keanu Reeves as an Ex-Hitman Coming Out of Retirement

Lionsgate had The Expendables 3 and Step Up All In in August, but the studio is actually only scheduled to release one more film prior to The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1 on November 21st, Addicted with Sharon Leal and Boris Kodjoe on October 10th.  However, word recently got out that they’re going to slip one more in there, and it’s one that you might not even be aware of – the Keanu Reeves action thriller, John Wick.  Reeves leads the film as a former hitman who goes back to work in order to track down the New York City gangsters that took everything from him.

Minus a little casting news in October 2013, there’s been little to no talk about David Leitch and Chad Stahelski’s first feature, however, now that Lionsgate just set it for an October 24, 2014 debut, that’s about to change big time, starting with the very first official still from the film.  Hit the jump to check out a John Wick image of Reeves looking a little beaten up.  Hopefully we’ll get to see what put him in that shape soon enough because with two seasoned stuntmen at the helm of this one, it’s bound to be brimming with quality action and combat.  The movie also stars Michael Nyqvist, Alfie Allen, Adrianne Palicki, Dean Winters, Bridget Moynahan, Ian McShane, John Leguizmo and Willem Dafoe.

An ex-hitman comes out of retirement to track down the gangsters that took everything from him. With New York City as his bullet-riddled playground, JOHN WICK (Keanu Reeves) is a fresh and stylized take on the “assassin genre”.
