Although I was just thoroughly creeped out by Johnny Depp's take on Willy Wonka (and in none of the best ways), I'm still convinced from the footage we've seen so far that this time he'll make the perfect Mad Hatter for Tim Burton's twisted vision of Alice in Wonderland.

In this short production video from Disney, you get glimpses of the Mad Hatter in action, with the best bit I think being that signature laugh that gets quickly silenced by Helena Bonham Carter's Red Queen.
