A few weeks ago, we reported that Seth Rogen and Jay Baruchel had decided to add many more cast members to their post-apocalyptic comedy Jay and Seth vs. The Apocalypse. The actor was remiss to reveal just who else would be joining the duo, but today he apparently decided was a good day to disclose that information. Rogen confirmed that Jonah Hill, James Franco, Danny McBride, and Craig Robinson will also be starring in the flick. Rogen wrote the film with his Superbad writing partner Evan Goldberg, and the duo are set to make their directorial debut with the project (which is now shaping up to be the Valentine’s Day of Apatowian comedies, except with way less suckage). Hit the jump for more, including who won’t be starring in the film.

The Harry Potter actor was rumored to be joining the film, but Rogen said things didn’t work out. The feature film spawned from a short film/fake trailer that Rogen and Baruchel released in 2007 with the same title, chronicling the lives of the two roommates following the End of Days. There’s no word on how the plot will be expanded for the feature, but the basic idea seems to remain intact. Based on the general idea and behind-the-scenes talent, I was already excited for this film, but the addition of pretty much the entire Pineapple Express team and Jonah Hill, it’s safe to say my anticipation level has jumped up quite a bit.

Rogen will next be seen in the “cancer dramedy” 50/50 alongside Joseph Gordon-Levitt, which opens next weekend. Steve recently got the chance to talk to the cast, so expect his interview with Rogen (where they also discuss Jay and Seth vs. The Apocalypse) to be up soon. Production on the post-apocalyptic comedy is set to get underway in February.
