Joseph Gordon-Levitt had a pretty good year in 2012 and is currently being offered/rumored to star in everything under the sun.  He recently passed on the Godzilla reboot and Guardians of the Galaxy, but has been confirmed for Sin City: A Dame to Kill For.  Perhaps the hottest rumor of late is that Gordon-Levitt will be appearing in Zack Snyder’s Man of Steel in a Batman cameo or in Justice League as the Caped Crusader.  This was apparently news to Gordon-Levitt, who had a good, if calculated, reaction to this question during a recent interview.  He also talked about working with director Robert Rodriguez in Sin City: A Dame to Kill For.  Hit the jump to watch the interview.

Check out Gordon-Levitt’s interview from Sundance (via MTV):

Here’s what Gordon-Levitt said regarding the Batman rumors:

“I hadn’t heard that one.  It just goes to show how much you can believe rumors…I don’t think you should believe in any of them.  If there’s something I’m going to be in, I’m going to tell you about it.”

And here are his comments on Sin City: A Dame to Kill For:

“‘Sin City 2′ is going to be fun…[I'm playing] a quintessential Rodriguez badass. It’s going to be fun as hell.”

No I want to see a Batman reboot there. It must be Wayne. A extremely smart Wayne, he needs to aport something to the team, he’s intelligence is the only thing not overpowered by his team mates.

I would also love to see his detective skills at work. I think Riddler would be an excellent villain for a standalone movie. And not the Jim Carrey version where he’s just playin The Joker in green.

A Riddler more like the Arkham Asylum/City character. One who’s really into pushing Batman’s intellect and skills of deduction. A Riddler who employs high-level Game Theory to plot his crimes would be magnificently terrifying. It\’s not enough to simply have a criminal presence in a superhero movie anymore. At least as far as Batman goes. You need someone who doesn’t just want to steal shit and get away with it, but prove they’re better than Batman.

I’d be cool with a McGinnis.

Man, I don’t want Man of Steel to have anything to do with that justice league project.

But it is going to be because why the hell would they choose a new Superman AND Batman for a Justice League movie. It’s only 2 years away.
