Well it’s not Tron 3, but director Joseph Kosinski’s next project just gained some serious steam. The filmmaker recently signed on to helm the firefighter action film No Exit, and now Variety reports that Josh Brolin and Miles Teller have signed on to take the lead roles. The movie is based on the true story of the tragic 2013 wildfire in Prescott, Arizona—known as the Yarnell Hill Wildfire—that almost killed an entire crew of firefighters. Black Hawk Down screenwriter Ken Nolan wrote the script, which focuses on a group of firefighters known as the Granite Mountain Hotshots who became trapped due to fast-changing winds and extreme heat. When all was said and done, 19 of the 20 men perished.

It’s unclear when the project might begin filming, but Kosinski is no doubt itching to get back behind the camera. His last film was the Tom Cruise sci-fi pic Oblivion, so No Exit marks a departure for the filmmaker who made his feature debut with Tron: Legacy.

Brolin is coming off of working with the Coen Brothers on Hail, Caesar! And most recently wrapped filming Observe and Report director Jody Hill’s new comedy The Legacy of a Whitetail Deer Hunter, in which he stars opposite Danny McBride. On his docket at the moment is George Clooney’s next directorial effort, Suburbicon, which boasts a script by Joel and Ethan Coen and will also star Matt Damon and Julianne Moore.

Teller, meanwhile, is coming off the unsuccessful franchise play Fantastic Four, but has a number of promising projects in the can, including The Hangover director Todd Phillips’ comedic thriller War Dogs opposite Jonah Hill. He’s also wrapped the boxing drama Bleed for This, and is currently filming the PTSD drama Thank You For Your Service opposite Amy Schumer.

With a pair of promising cast members set, here’s hoping Kosinski’s No Exit moves forward sooner rather than later.
